My 1987 Buick GN has the 145 MPH Speedometer. The MPH jumps around while I am driving and is not very accurate. It tends to stick on a speed for a bit as well (stays at 30 or 35 even though I am going faster or slower than that). Also, the odometer does not work, neither does the trip. Any...
I am looking at replacing my existing 145MPH Speedometer. A few of the gauges have issues and the speedometer fluctuates pretty bad. I was looking at the Dakota Digital RTX. Does anyone have experience with this or another brand? Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I just bought the Camshaft position sensor. I will post all of the internals that were purchased from GN1 for my rebuild. I am new to GN’s but I want to learn for sure. Thanks again.
I just ordered the Camshaft position sensor from partsgeek.com. That should take care of the timing. I will also do the fuel pump/filter/hotwire too. I can send over all internals later on. I bought all rebuild parts from GN1:since they seemed the only ones I found to have them in stock. My...
I just had my 1987 Buick GN engine rebuilt top to bottom. I need to get the timing set, turbo set, etc. Does anyone know of a good turbo mechanic in Northwest Indiana? Also, what other work should I have done after the engine rebuild? Thanks.
I am looking for a standard crank for my engine rebuild on my 1987 Buick GN. My engine builder looked for Eagle and Scat and cannot find one that is readily available. Does anyone know where we can find one quickly? Thanks.
They owned it. My biggest complaint is the fact that the general manager sent me an email in June stating that he would refund me $4,200 towards repairs, I accepted the offer, and now they are ignoring my request for the money. It is all in emails so I assume it is binding in a court of law.
I totally agree. I am looking forward to driving the car after about 9 months of owning it.
It just sucks that people conduct business like they do. I did buy the car "as-is" but there was some shady moves between the time I bought it and the time I picked it up. Since I have an email from them...
I live in Indiana so I have the engine at Pro Auto in Crown Point. He has been in business almost 50 years and is a great guy.
I purchased the GN in December but did not pick it up until March of 2023 because I was in no hurry to drive the car in the winter. Also, Charlestown Classics needed...
