I ordered a fuel pressure gage that looks like goes straight on the schrader valve. So is measuring fuel pressure not possible with the vehicle in park and on it has to be driven?

Sure thing Chuck, I’ll try and get some readings tomorrow. Just put the gage on the schrader valve located on the fuel rail? Does the car need to be running or just the key turned on?

Update: I remembered I plugged in the MAP sensor while changing plugs and kept it plugged in (has always been unplugged). Unplugged it and the fuse hasn’t blown…weird. Guess I’ll tackle that issue once I iron in the rough idling and slight backfiring after changing the coil pack and module...

Saw a few posts on this topic but they seem to be related to after market gages. Completely stock ‘87 Grand National with a digital dash. After replacing the spark plugs, the 20A fuse for the dash is blowing right after starting the car. Any thoughts or where to start troubleshooting? Thanks

Haven’t tried that yet. I see two grounds on the passenger side fender - one near the battery and another a bit lower. Neither one of them appear to be corroded or damaged.

Thanks for the tip. I cleaned the socket and still running into the issue. I also pulled the switch from the dash and the lights still came on when the car was turned on.
