With car running above idle, you should read 14+ volts at the battery. Since you are not, could be voltage drop because of a bad wire/connection but appears more likely that the alternator is bad. I had an alternator that gave a 14+ volt reading with a voltmeter but wouldn't charge the...

Push the pedal slowly & not all the way to the floor. If the MC is good, might take 5 minutes to get the air out. Some have said it took longer. If you try for 30 minutes & still have air, could be bad MC. I tried 3 rebuilts & 2 new MC from auto parts stores before getting a good one.

I cut out center section of thermostat & have been running with that for several years with good results. Most say you must have some restriction; don't run with nothing there.

I use a small air filter on the end of that hose & have no gas odor.

Rustoleum Rustoleum makes a lacquer spray paint that works ok. Get mine at Lowes.

yes Do the job where you can jack up car & also remove some material underneath the car/pipe to allow the pipe to fall down - e.g., front yard, gravel driveway. :)

unplugged I agree with Jay. Mine has been unplugged for years; no codes. I get better low rpm throttle response in daily driving w/o the IAC. Once warmed up, no stalls with a/c also. :smile:

maybe Kirban Kirban repaired my original radio but I didn't ask for tape deck repair & didn't get it. Ask him. :smile:

clean contacts Agree with above steps. Just went thru a lengthy off-idle stumble diagnosis & while I did replace a couble sensors the very first step should have been to unplug & clean the electrical contacts - starting with ECU. With any little bit of corrosion this cold weather will alter...

other mods that do help O2 sensor readings are still too low. Prior to next emissions test, clean air filter clean MAF GM top engine cleaner, then an oil change. Heated O2 sensor (4-wire) block the EGR

cat? My opinion is that a new, modern cat is needed to pass todays emissions inspections. I have one welded to another inexpensive downpipe that i put on the GN (once every 2 years) ust for inspection. It's worth the cost & effort to me. ;)

maybe, but...... You need some way to get the new cable thru the car body. The old cable goes thru a hole w/grommet & will have to be removed in order to use that same grommet. I don't know of any other accessible holes. ;)

go to gnttype Look here: Index of /techarea You will have to loosen the fender area near the door. You will also have to replace the cable from radio to antenna & this will take as much time & patience as replacing the antenna. :smile:
