Anything new in headlights for our cars?

I try not to drive too much at night these days. Hell, even during the day I have my H6054's on.

    Some top end teardown pictures.

A shout out to BadAssGN, windshearalert and TurboBuRick for their heads up on this older thread... https://www.turbobuick.com/threads/headgasket-installation-with-studs.309697/ ...about brake parts/brake cleaner vs acetone or electrical contact cleaner or lacquer thinner on gasket surfaces...

    Breaking down my stock motor

Very NICE! Digital pictures, masking tape and sharpie pen help for re-assembly!

    Some top end teardown pictures.

On my new intake kit (MS96033) I see that there are notches on one side of the end seal's , and not the other. I might have had the front seal 180 out which would have created a flashing problem.

    Some top end teardown pictures.

I have two torque patterns showing up for the cylinder heads. Looks like they changed the pattern for 83-87, or possibly 85-87 and also the specific procedure for maximum torque (90 degrees tighter or 60 lb-ft Max.) Then on to next fastener. Anyone watching able to clarify? I am going with...

    Went to a show earlier.

It was more than I wanted to spend. Can you tell me anything about the model?

    Green connector? (Computer controlled carb/distributor)

sorry for the necro post. I wanted to also add that there was a counterpart Green terminal under the dash. On the passenger side. If you grounded it, it would flash the check engine light and display status information. One of the earliest feedback systems in existence. (at least my 1979 C4...

    Went to a show earlier.

Got to go to a gun show earlier today. Saw lots of neat stuff. For some reason, a 45-70 bolt action rifle, and this pistol. stood out for me. (It just looked accurate somehow.) I did get a neat old gas-mask. "Should only be opened in case of war mobilization" is printed in German, French...

    1979 PCV grommet.

My 1979 intake manifold is a #B-1262470-B. The PCV valve mounts into the back passenger side of the intake. For some reason, this is one of those parts that I can't seem to find the proper number for.

    Blowthrough build repeat.

Awesome. Thank you. Say, my wife just recently found a 1979 turbo buick complete car listed for 2k$. Is this a deal, or pass?

    Blowthrough build repeat.

Question regarding the adjustment of the lifter assembly. The stock girdle assembly requires no adjustment whatsoever to the valve lash? I.E. self adjusting? I've worked on some motors in the past like for crotch rockets that required a feeler gauge adjustment. I once setup some sbc heads...
