El Camino vs. Regal front suspension question

I'm rebuilding the front suspension of the El Camino before I drop the motor in, and I'm looking at PST's website... it shows quite a few different G-Body kits. BUICK - Regal 1973-87 CHEVROLET - Chevelle, Malibu, El Camino 1964-88 CHEVROLET - Monte Carlo 1970-88 Shouldn't they all be the...

    Billy Mays on ESPN

I don't know who thought this was a good idea, but they need to be executed. What's next, him and the ShamWOW guy announcing all the games? Major breach in man law, ESPN. /rant

Any El Camino guys running a FMIC?

My plan was to use a PTE, but it's looking like it will be a tight fit - and if I remember right, the front spoiler will be in the way of the IC pipes. Ditching the front spoiler isn't an option, maybe I'll have to do something custom? Or maybe I'm crazy? Pics of setups would be helpful.

Bought a GT6152RE off him as well as a few other small things. He shipped it the same day I paid and it was here two days later. Turbo looks mint, everything is as he said.

Best way to tap 84/85 block?

I would much prefer to use a stock style oil return rather than tapping the oil pan. Motor is out of the car, heads off, oil pan off sitting on an engine stand. Don't want to dissemble any further than that. I'm thinking either do it upside down on the engine stand, with a shop vac on the...

New hybrid project I picked up today... (85 El Camino)

I owned this car in high school, I sold it five years ago to a friend... he hasn't been driving it and talked about selling it. We worked out a deal and I brought it home tonight. The 109 is a hot air long block I bought off a board memeber, I'm probably going to swap cams and have...

1978 Buick Turbo Regal Coupe on CL

1978 Buick Turbo Regal Coupe Don't think he'll get anywhere near the asking price, but clean none the less. Probably one of the cleanest I've seen.

    99 M3 or 04 GTO?

I can't decide. M3 has 58k miles, stock. Super clean. GTO has 33k miles, mostly stock. Has wheels, long tubes, no cats, 05/06 brake upgrade and a short shifter. Upside of the GTO: parts cost less, newer. Upside of the M3: won't want to make it go fast, it will stay stock.

Flaring shifts when warm, shifts normal when cold...

130k mile stock transmission, shifts great for the first 5-10min of driving the car. Once the transmission warms up it will flare the 1-2 shift at partial throttle and at WOT. The question is, should I even bother doing anything with it or just take it up to Vince Janis? I'm leaning towards...

The best way to experience Goodguys is in the bed of a flame thrower.

Goodguys is in town this weekend so last night we went out to check out the night life. We ended up running into a friend with an old flathead Ford flame thrower. Since we rode our bikes down there (Buick is still waiting on a Powermaster) we were on foot and our friend told us to jump in the...

After 3 years I finally bought another turbo Regal...

A friend saw this car on Craigslist and called me, it was all of 4 miles away. 130k miles, stock aside from the LT1 MAF and translater. Picked it up for a little over $4k. Needs some powermaster love, but haven't decided if I'm buying one from Kirban or converting to vacuum. Anyway, felt good to...

    Opinions on buying this T...

Went and looked at it today and can't make up my mind... give me your opinions. 130k miles, mostly stock (has a translator, LT1 maf and an exhaust). Car runs mint. Interior is mint except that it doesn't have a head liner. No G80 code on the trunk. Bad repaint (prep work was horrible...
