    Car won't start

Just recently got the car back together. Been having issues with the car just not running right. I have a pressure gauge on the rail, and fuel pressure is fine. First I checked the header tubes with a temp gun and noticed #2 and #6 were colder at idle by about 200 degrees so I figured that...

Fuel pressure regulator O-Ring leaking / relocate regulator

I am in the process of re-installing the engine on the GN. It has a BGC intake with the AL rails that came with the intake. It has an Accufab regulator and the old o-ring going into the rail tore. I picked up a variety pack of Viton o-rings and couldn't get it to seal. I have seen threads on...

    hydraulic roller cam recommedations

Howdy, Well, after 12 years I need to freshen up the motor in our GN. I was looking over the current Hyd roller cam, and it is starting to wear on the nose of #1 intake and exhaust, so I need to come up with a new camshaft. I haven't been keeping tabs on what curent "hot ticket" is with...

Flexplate question - neutral balance vs external balance

We just pulled the transmission on ou car and the flexplate is cracked in several places. In looking over the forum everyone seems to recommed a JW flexplate to replace the stocker. But, in reading, most people say the factory flexplate is externally balanced, and to order an externally...

Looking for input on converter and stall speed

Loooking for some input. In 2003 we got the car together. At that time we put a Vigilante multi-disc lockup converter with an o-pump. I bought it from Conley's performance and at the time Lawrence recommended a Vigilante 4000 rpm converter. The car was apart for about 4 years (converter was...

What intake gaskets are folks using?

I had a set of FP 1200's but my GN1 have been ported quite a bit, and I'm leary of leaks. We had a set of Victors (or some graphite composite) intake gasket which seemed to work well. The only issue is I lost the PN#. So, anyone have any PN or recommendations for a good intake gasket?

What head gaskets are folks using these days?

Blew a head gasket because of a lean condition (got that fixed). We were running the stock Victor gaskets on the car with a set of GN1's. Just wondering what folks are running these days. We had tried to use the O-Ring Fel-Pros originally, but had lots of issues withthe o-ring grovves. So...

Anyone done a comparison of Torco Accelerator vs Toluene/Xylene

Been some discussion on the Vette site about how superior Torco is. The Torco stuff is fairly pricey $125 per 5 gallons ($25 gallon) vs $5-$7 gallon for Toluene/Xylene. Has anyone got an MSDS safety sheet on Torco? I'm just curious if folks know specifically what is in it? Have folks...

BstC and max effort combo question

For those running this combo, just wondering where you made your connctions at. The max effort turns the boost solenoid control wires into a 12V shift light. Just curious about the interaction of the BstC and the stock connction... Did you run an external wire out to the WG solenoid, or...

    Wheel backspacing

I know this has been beaten to death ad naseum. Before you flame me, I have used the search function. But, the information is sort of spotty. I currently have 15x7.5 up front and 15x8.5 out back. I'd like to move to a 15x9.5 or 15x10 out back. The car is stock ride height, and the...

I have a car that has been runing for awhile now. We've been busy racing another car, and haven't had much time to spend on getting the tune right on the GN. So now, things have evened out a bit, and its time to spend some time on the GN. The car as I said s running 72# injectors with a...

    URSPANKED has paint now...

The GN was getting pretty tired looking. After I finally got the motor all squared away, I had painted the hood. Dad (URSPANKED) put on new front and rear fillers, and I had powder coated the bumpers. Anyhow, the paint jobs was just shot, and was just hopeless. As we all know, GN's and...
