rattle can rebuild bit of weight in the front.... yeah, the rear axle overbalanced it sway bar installed start of suspension work so there's only one, slight problem with these lower arms how does one lube those zerks when the suspension is together? but the steering box was a direct bolt...

time to make stuff you'll never see pretty and the fun of putting brakes together I think it had new slave cylinders... don't care, they're cheap it's like a puzzle with extra and missing pieces but no picture okay a picture of something similar two packages of stuff to get most of what...

so a bit more. I think the HA 3.8 looks close enough to the Olds 215 turbo motor (run with me here) that to anyone outside if this circle, they'll have no clue when I casually say "oh, it's a stock turbo Buick".... without an intercooler to give it away, who would dispute? now in the extended...

The motor I'll go through, at this moment I think the valve train is seized - but it has been basting in diesel fuel for the last 3 years so hopefully it's at least clean where it counts inside. For computer, I'll use a Megasquirt - I've used them on a couple builds and like their flexibility...

I'll add more details as time allows... but I'll start here. I bought this 1964 Buick Special Wagon at a swap meet for $300. I've been looking for one just like it (and almost bought one just like it for 2k) for 5 or more years. It took 3 years after the buy to solve its title issues, but now...

And about ad blocker... it's like this, I pay to host the images, and provide content for your site - which draws others to your site. I get nothing for it. But I'm not shutting off the blocker - so I guess you folks will have to create your own content so that I'm willing to have my computer...

As some know, I have a bit of an incline from my house to the shop. The wagon doesn't have paint on it, it will rain next weekend, and I need my lift back... Mind you, the PO said "the brakes went out"... so I put fluid in hoping that I'd see where it was leaking... EUREKA... I think I see...

So I had a free hour tonight.... decided to dive into what I know this thing needs I'm a bit disappointed in the metal work - but they were cheap, wrong, but cheap so it gives me enough metal to pound and a general shape... so away we go leaky windows with no drain.... big surprise... not...

    Non Turbo Build

I love Buicks, and like most anything GM. I wouldn't do a 4.3 because I think their output and fuel economy are abysmal - it does have advantages such as being 3/4 a 350; but it idles rough, and they seem to be more susceptible to spun bearings then other motors. Quite frankly, the 231 is a...

I know this is a ridiculous update, but as it takes removing a lock cylinder, taking it to a key shop, then taking it to a competent key shop.... I got keys today..... Thank you Bonafide locksmith in Kirkland, you rock.

I'm leaning more and more to, presuming the engine is salvageable, to rebuilding the HA turbo motor, an putting a NOx dry nozzle in the back of the plenum. 54 lb injectors and it should be good for my target number of 500. Otherwise, docile as a kitten. E85 really isn't available around here...

seriously considering it - but that takes the build to a higher level then planned.... that and I've been spending quality time on the last down-to-the-last-nut build I did chasing down rust issues that would have been a problem had I left its paint on it* and silly as it sounds, I really am...

    Buinicorn my 64 Buick Wagon

The PO had a 350 chevy in it, fortunately, that was gone - and I do have choices. I have a 70 455, I've got the parts to build a 455 (now 430) that is destined for my 50 Sedanet that has twin turbos, edelbrock heads, a girdle and been sleeved so that the block hopefully will survive much...

    Buinicorn my 64 Buick Wagon

Seems kind of strange to post this as a hybrid since it is a Buick motor in a Buick car - it does make sense in a twisted way. My 1964 Buick Wagon I was walking out of a swap meet in Monroe Washington a few weeks ago, and saw it. I've been looking for one for at least 5 years - a longroof...

    Buick guy from way back

My very first car was a 1962 Buick Skylark, 215 ci, brown, a head gasket per oil change and I utterly loathed it. When it didn't have a blown head gasket, the generator would give up the ghost. I traded it for a 67 Camaro (I know dumb people, but they've go good hearts), and could have rescued...
