I've been working on this car for several months and now have question. What is the correct routing for the positive battery cable. Does it go down along the oil pan in the bracket that the trans lines clip into? Any help would be apreciated.

Next question is. Has anyone ever her timing gear threads pull from the cam or is it usually the the bolts stretching. Mine was the bolts?

I understand the the Timing of the gears and timing of the injectors. I guess the real question is sbc you are setting firing of plug after intake closes but the buick you are timing injectors to spray at the beginning of the intake valve opening. Is this correct?

I am trying to understand how the Timing works. On a sbc the timing gears line up dot to dot on compression. Which is at the start of the intake cycle. So when putting in the distributor you turn the crank 360 which opens and closes the #1 intake and that puts fuel charge in the cylinder and...

Thanks, I did buy a new one just confused on weather to put it in or not. A lot of post say no tensioner for different chains but I was thinking if it had one before than it needs to be in there with new stock chain. Thanks again. Now I can finish this ting up and get it back together.

Not sure what to do. 87 gn replacing stock timing gear with milling stock timing gear. It had a tensioner on the stock nylon gear so do I use a tensioner on the replacement stock timing gear. It is sintered metal instead of plastic coated.

Nick I think I am just going to replace the nylon gear set with a melling stock gear set per the way it will be driven is mostly mild street. Question is do I still need to replace or even run a tensioner and should I use a stock thrust spring or a roller button? I haven't found a roller part...

I've got to ask about condition of the wheels. 1 are the wheels straight or do they wobble. The reason I'm a asking is I just bought a 87 GN and after I got it home I found out all four wheels wobbled like they had been bent on a tire machine. Is paint and chrome good.
