Went to put my Hooker 12643HKR mounts on and there’s no way they clear the stock truck ac bracket. Not even close

I’m not sweating notching the frame as much as rerouting the ac lines around the turbo.

I hear different answers on that, with the Holley mounts it’s supposed to, and I’ve heard some guy have no issues clearing the frame. Not sure on mine yet, haven’t got that far, hopefully this week.

Want to run ac and leave everything in stock location, anyone have success? I’m building an ‘85 Regal, 5.3/4l60e, 78mm, stock truck accessories and ac. Would love to see some pics if anyone is running the same combo, not interested in changing accessory mounts or compressor. Thanks

After looking at all the pics and getting behind my car, looks like you can’t see it regardless if driving behind it cause it’s so tucked up there. I have to be down practically sitting on the ground to even see mine.

Picked mine up at Summit Racing, just make sure you get the Gen II it’s less money and much better pump and build. That’s right from the Aeromotive guys mouth.

Nope, has a layer of primer and two coats of paint, no bare spots. I thought it was odd also.

Ok, thanks Tricksixpa, unplugged the horns, put the wire in place and put it all together and it works. Foam is old and crumbling so might have to replace that one day. Thank again.

I had wondered if it was that sandwiched foam that was like the spring, but then why would the horn go off just from putting the wire in the tube?
