    Offset Question

This is what I believed it to be. So I pose the question. If the stock wheel is a 0mm offset, that means a 16mm offset will move the wheel in toward the center of the car by 16mm, correct? If they are both 7 inch wide rims, the one with a 16mm offset will be 16mm closer to the center of the...

    Offset Question

Thanks for the response. http://www.gbodyparts.com/product_info.php?products_id=1642 These are the wheels on the car. I bought the car with them so I am not sure if the wheel is the 7 or the 8 inch wide. Not sure how to measure that with a tire mounted on it. My best guess is the 7in...

    Offset Question

Okay. Here is my dilemma. My car has Eibach springs and I just installed the Baer 2 inch drop spindles. The car looks great but the front tires rub on the outer edge on the inner fender. Currently the car has the aluminum repop stock looking wheels. I'm assuming the offset is the same as...

    alky control always on

Checked the link you listed on page one. It seems that it was more related to tapping into the GREEN MAP wire to the ECM. I have the additional jumper harness that plugs into the TPS for power and ground to the MAP. I assume then that the other post doesn't apply...? Also, I don't have 6.6v like...

    alky control always on

@Jerryl As stated above, key on eng off I have 4.8v while backprobing green wire. If you meen what do i have at green wire while unplugged; its 0v as it should be. I will check the ground, but Im pretty sure Ive checked that already. Also, if Im looking at this correctly, the 3 bar PSi formula...

    alky control always on

I have 5v IN and ground. No voltage showing on signal line while unplugged from MAP(as it should be). Backprobing signal wire shows 4.8v key on. Also shows 4.8v running as well as running with vacuum line off. 4.8v would equate to @0" Hg, so Im thinking this PAC is reading to be ready to boost...

    alky control always on

The green wire is connected to the green wire from the 3bar MAP that came with the kit, so unless it is pinned incorrectly.... Will do some testing.

    alky control always on

Hey guys, been awhile. I finished the install of the alky control unit today and I didn't pass my tests :( For some reason the system is always spraying. As soon you turn the unit on it starts spraying. If I unplug the MAP sensor the test button works as it should. Is the PAC reading boost...

    02 sensor question

Could a bad 02 sensor cause a car to run lean? I was installing an air fuel gauge, and obviously in doing this you have to mess around with the wires. When I started the car afterwards it ran VERY lean - 02 millivolts never went above 150. I took a short drive and it ran fine under no boost...

    Please, I need your expertise!!

Hahaha! Thanks Mike! I couldn't agree with you more. This is why I posted the solution. Too many threads that start but never post the solution. I hope to help many people. Not to pump up your ego, but I'm the service manager at a Buick dealer and not even my best tech had a guess. It's...

How long will a stock motor idle without oil pressure

+1 - an easy way to tell though is to run a compression test - pull a valve cover and check for hot spots and scoring of course use your ears as well.

    Please, I need your expertise!!

For any future readers of this thread, the answer to my issue was.... CAM SENSOR! The cap was fine but the little piece of metal holding the pieces together was weak and actually broke when I went to install the new cap. Hence the delay in my update. I hope I never have to change a cam...
