No one is debating whether drag cars run full exhaust or not. I just think it's odd you spent more $ on your banner than you did testing the product. Not trying to flame, I think it's a great idea, but I think the cart is being put before the horse here.
Wouldn't it be worth a few hundred bucks of dyno time to test your cut out and have data to back up your hypothesis? It seems like a nice piece, but until I see #s it is just a novel idea.
Thanks for all the replies. I'm going to order some springs today and once I get them installed I'll report back. (I'll also double check my measurements)
In the mean time I've asked the wife to put on a couple hundred pounds so the car will sit level when we ride around.
The body mounts look like they're in good shape and may have been replaced. If the frame is lower to the ground on the left side, would that rule out the body mounts ?
Somehow I knew there would be fat jokes after that post.
Has anyone else encountered this and found a fix? (Don't say cut back on donuts and beer, I like them way too much)
I've measured all four corners from the ground to the fender, and ground to the frame, and the drivers side is lower by almost 1/2" (front and rear) It is definitely noticeable... It's never been in a wreck as far as I know. Any ideas on how to fix it? Do I need to take it to a place that can...
Lots of great mods already listed in this thread, but I really like my aluminum GN reproduction wheels. The stockers were narrow, heavy, and starting to rust. Now I have 8"s all the way around and it gives it a nice stance.
I'm planning on joining the HRPT from Baytown to OKC and was wondering if anyone else is planning to bring their TR.
It starts in Louisiana on June 11 and it stops in Baytown, Austin, Grand Prairie, OKC, and then continues on to KS.
My pump developed a whine after the HB conversion. I swapped to a rebuilt pump, tried the snake oil PS fluid, and checked for leaks. It's annoying. I should have gone vacuum.
What's the difference between a quality 4 ohm speaker and a cheap 4 ohm speaker? None as far as your factory radio is concerned, because you will wind up with a 2 ohm load unless you change the wiring of the front speakers.
The Kenwood door speakers installed in my car were the cause of the...
I believe the factory speakers were 10 ohm (not sure of the #, but it was fairly high) resistance. If you wire 2 10 ohm speakers in parallel you end up with 5 ohms of resistance.
If you install aftermarket speakers that are most likely 4 ohm and wire them in parallel (which you would do if...
Did you know that the factory door and dash speakers are originally wired in parallel? If you just swap in some aftermarket speakers with the factory head unit still in place you will damage the radio. It will blow out one of the channels. That's why I have no sound on the right side of my car.
