    Direct drum 16 spring retainer

Maybe you should market them. I don't have the ability (tool) to counterbore, accurately anyway. I would be afraid to use mine with the upgraded springs. I may try it with stock springs. Any thoughts?

    Direct drum 16 spring retainer

Nice piece. Couple ? Aluminum or steel? Looks to be aluminum. Are those heaverier than stock springs? Did you use a counter bore for the spring socket in the upgraded retainer? I have made a couple from .134 flat stock steel jsut using a drill press. A mill with a rotorary table would be nice...

    Direct drum 16 spring retainer

Beginning to see some bending of the retainer. Asking if I'm the only one or are others seeing this, and if so what are you doing. As the retainer bends away from the piston, the springs are weaker. Open to any and all replies.

    sealing center support ?

I'm here. Just soaking it all in. The reason I started this thread is my neighbor and good friend (Patrick Hester) and I are fighting a 2-3 flare with dual feed billet trans (9.70 ish) car. I was sold on Teflon rings as I have seen too many drums worn beyond repair from steel rings. Many many...

It has been years since I have driven a TR with a STOCK l/u convertor. Let's say you are cruising down the parkway with cruise on and you come to a grade. As you climb the grade and load increases the throttle angle also increases to maintain set speed. Does the convertor unlock and if necessary...
