Maftpro defaulting to boost config screen

I usually leave it set to systems monitor but when the key is cycled it now returns to the boost configuration screen. Any thoughts?

    Who likes Chevy Silverado's?

I finally found a really nice 06 RCSB. Have wanted this exact truck for a long time now and couldn't be more please with it. Any of you guys drive one?

Doesn't take much force to distort a 109

With minimal force from a clamp I was able to move the rails a couple of thousandths very easily. it leaves me to wonder how much the motor mount area moves on a high horsepower car.

Another possible cause of cam sensor wear?

I have a new GM old stock sensor in my car that started making a ticking noise. The noise started at around 5000 miles. Out of curiosity I put a worn cam sensor in the lathe (chucked at the drive gear) to determine if it was vertical or horizontal shaft movement causing the noise. Immediately...

Didn't realize that Brazilian cars are kind of cool!

Crazy mix of styling. Looks blending of several US vehicles in some cases.

    Made a stock balancer neutral

Needed a neutral hub for a project so I modified a stock na balancer. Used a mini lathe, drill press and a die grinder.

    Remember Airwolf ?

I never watched it but somehow started reading Jan Michael Vincent's comments on twitter and this guy is a mess! If your offended by bad language don't follow the link. https://twitter.com/Airwolf4Life

Came close to melting it down...

Made a pass at the track last night, all felt and sounded normal. Was in line for round 2 reviewing the log file and discovered that there was no fuel pressure rise during the first pass (went really lean). Early indications are that the fuel pressure regulator stuck during the burn out. All...

Maftpro with 93 chip fuel and timing questions

When running the 93 chip on race gas is there a fueling map programmed into the chip that would not allow me to max out fuel flow through the Pro? Same basic question for timing, I know base is set low for 93 but if I'm at WOT the entire run couldn't I get around the street chip timing table?

    Top 5 (fastest) Engine Builders?

Don't want to hear about the 10 second cars. More interested in really fast stuff and who built it. I'm Sure you guys that have been around for a long time can share some names that the newer crowd may not be familiar with.

    Resufaced my direct drum

Had this drum laying around and it was dished about .004-.005 in the center. Chucked it up in a mini-lathe and patiently laid on it with two different whetstones. After about 45 minutes it came out dead flat. Now when laying a straight edge across it a .001 feeler gauge will not go under. I do...

    Hypothetical Small Turbo VS Larger

Given this scenario....at the track we can leave with 20psi and maintain that though the entire run. Why would it matter if we were running a 60 compressor with a 63 housing or a 70 compressor with a 85 housing? Other than the obvious of possibly more heat out of the smaller set up. Also...

What's inside of a powermaster pump?

Looked around a bit and could not find pictures of what's inside of the pump itself. IE seals and actual moving parts. I've separated a pump from the motor which was really easy to do but disassembling the pump itself is a little tough. I know they aren't meant to be rebuilt I just want to see...

Maft Pro log for Tuner Pro

Getting my feet wet with Tuner Pro before updating / reflashing the Maft Pro. Does anyone have a log file or a tune from their Maft Pro that I can review in Tuner Pro just to get familiar with how works and what the Tuner pro screen should look like? Thanks Mike

    Coil pack friendly reminder

Old news to most but for the guys who can't afford to upgrade their ignition systems at least check your coil packs. Recently had a small problem and changed a lot of items instead of simply verifying the coil pack was good. Main reason for not checking it was that it ran so good everywhere...

    Chasing a lean spike

Have a couple of logs of this lean spike. It does break up a little and I can't determine if it boost or rpm related. Car pulls really hard to about 15 pounds and when the problem does show up it's over 15 psi and 5300 rpm. WB doesn't really agree with o2 during the spike. Replaced o2 but it...
