    Bottom end limits?

Thanks for the estimate on the Chapman head flow and for the Ti rod info, guys. I'll keep my eyes open for used Ti rods; if I can't find anything by winter, I'll stick with the billet 4340. Thanks again. Chris

    Bottom end limits?

I've got S2 heads ported by Chapman (no flow numbers), a cam in the 230 to 236 range, and valvetrain to support 8k redline, according to the previous owner. I've not heard of kryptonite rods before - are they any good? Thanks for the tip on the rod length. Are all the billet rod options...

    Bottom end limits?

Thanks, guys - appreciate the feedback. Any recommendations for better rods? Most folks seem to point to Crower or Oliver, with very mixed opinions as to whose are stronger... Chris

Thanks for the info. What's considered a safe limit for the iron blocks? Chris

    Bottom end limits?

I don't think they are Nascar rods. The prior owner didn't have a receipt for them, but he did tell me they're forged Carrillos - I assumed they were purchased new. I'll need to verify it during disassembly, I guess. Are the Nascar rods H-beams like the aftermarket Carrillos? And just to...

    Bottom end limits?

I recently purchased a Stage 2 car, and I'm trying to put together a build plan to put me at least deep into the 8's next year. The engine was assembled ten years ago but only has a little break-in time on it. I'll probably at a minimum tear it down for inspection and reassembly, but I am...

Anyone tried the Borg Warner S484 turbo yet?

Nice! What's the A/R on your new housing? Please keep us posted on spool-up differences vs. your existing set-up. Chris

Anyone tried the Borg Warner S484 turbo yet?

GNDriven, any 1/4 mile or dyno numbers on the S484 yet? Any other impressions now that you've got some more seat time on the new set up? Thanks. Chris

Anyone tried the Borg Warner S484 turbo yet?

Excellent! What turbo were you running before this one? Can you share more general driving impressions or comparisons to the old turbo (spool and power)? Also, are you running pump gas or E85? Chris

Anyone tried the Borg Warner S484 turbo yet?

Thanks, Robert. I've not seen many folks using the Tial turbine housings yet. Do you have a feel for how yours flows compared to the more common housings - particularly the 1.10 T6 housing? Chris

Anyone tried the Borg Warner S484 turbo yet?

Wow, sounds like a quick-spooling combo for the amount of power you're putting down. I assume the 9.04 time in your sig was run with this turbo? Thanks for sharing the spool-up info - I've not been able to find a lot of that detail on here, outside of you and Turbobitt. It's very helpful for...

Anyone tried the Borg Warner S484 turbo yet?

Thanks for the info, Robert - looks like a big increase in turbine flow vs. your old 75, assuming similar compressors. Are you running a cast or billet compressor wheel, and standard or race cover? How long does it take for you to reach your 7psi launch boost on the brake? Chris

Robert, do you have any backpressure readings on yours? What's your redline? Chris

Thanks. When I purchased my car, it already had an aftermarket cowl hood. I'll be shopping for a new stock-style fiberglass/CF hood later this year... Chris

Were you satisfied with Cincy Speed? I've been looking for a reputable place near Cincy to dyno... Not sure if I missed the numbers, but what did your car put down? Chris
