Ttype 5.3 ls swap complete 13 psi 560whp

How does that saying go.. Haters gonna hate? Thanks for posting. I'd like to see more pics of the hotside, especially the crossover and the headers. Did you intercool it? It was hard to see from the video.

    XFI with Traction Control

I just got my XFI less than a month ago and I am still working the rough edges off the tuning but so far so good. The traction control portion is fairly easy to get setup and uses a multiplier to reduce boost as well. I still have some tuning to do on it but it does seem to help. If you have...

    Tranny quick to up shift!?

If the TCC solenoid is stuck on it can act that way as well. Less common I would think than TV problems but something else to investigate and easy enough to just disconnect the 4 pin connector on the side of the trans for that test.

    After Market Gauges

Except for when you have a hotwire kit and use the factory relay (or oil pressure switch) to activate your new relay. Lots of relays... Good catch though.

    Tps readings mismatched on translator

Already mentioned but wiggle the TPS wire at the back of the pro. I noticed mine had this issue once and it was a pin not sitting well when the wiring harness wasn't straight.

    TR6?

Thanks Bob. I have been trying to decide whether to go TR6 or XIM and I definitely want to keep the software based limit control as the eDash lets me tap a few buttons to make changes.

    What does my tune need?

Well with all the helpful posts you have had it looks like troubleshooting with the stock maf and posting the powerlogger log would be where to start. FWIW I have the 3.5" LS1 and the extreme chip and the settings you indicated are what I was using. The gen 2 manual leaves a lot to be desired...

    What does my tune need?

What were your MAF in and MAF out settings on the GEN2? I haven't used the GEN2 but the menus are similar with the Pro so perhaps we can figure out what was messed up with your earlier install and you can ditch the factory maf.

    Decode this RPO

Should be a GN. My understanding is that the WE2 package included the W11 package on GN's. Your car also has BY4 which is the Grand National Applique.

    After Market Gauges

It usually means a trip to the hardware store. Here is a picture of a setup I used for a while that gets the job done and retains the factory light. Some people just take the 3 pronged switch out and use an adapter in the same hole to mount their sending unit. FWIW the factory switch provides a...

    After Market Gauges

Assuming you bought an oil pressure gauge, no you can't use the oil switch to read oil pressure as the switch is not a sending unit. As for the green connector near the A/C, this is one place to get a tach signal from but most aftermarket tachs need an additional tach adapter to work properly...

Help with charging issue after gauge cluster install

When I did my Dash install I soldered in a resistor between one of the pnk/blk wires and the brn wire that goes to the alternator lamp circuit. The resistor was 470 ohm, 1/2 watt IIRC. It takes the place of the volts indicator bulb. You could purchase a field fix from Caspers that is entirely...

    Seeking opinions on going XFI

XFI replaces the factory ECM. I will be making the jump to XFI in about a week from the MAFT Pro (come on UPS!). My main reason is that I bought the MAFT Pro to take baby steps towards tuning and I always wanted to learn the stand alone systems so I have little doubt I will be pleased with the...

So many questions with setup on new car

If you have a good late model MAF I would say use it and have the MAFT pro in translator mode for the easiest setup with a car that has been sitting for so long. By definition the "translator" portion means it converts the signal from a newer model MAF to the older style signal our ECM needs to...

So many questions with setup on new car

MAFT Pro can be a pretty good tool to run and tune with. It will allow speed density, but make sure the Intake Air Temp Sensor is mounted in the intake manifold or plenum and not in the inlet piping to the turbo. Most tune with a wideband. As such, the MAFT Pro is setup to work well with a...

    Need upgrade help!

Dutt neck is a nice upgrade but I would save the money and put it towards an alky kit from Julio at alkycontrol. The alky will meet your goals and allow you to run pump gas which I imagine is a necessity over there.

    Need upgrade help!

If you are new to the Buick crowd and isolated from hands on assistance I wouldn't go with the FAST. To the OP I think you have the right idea for the most part. A fuel pump upgrade with hotwire harness and fuel pressure regulator would be a good place to start considering your existing...
