you could have had some trash in the bottom of your tank and the strainer in the bottom the tank be plugged up or the filter being clogged (been there, done that.) I personally have an 86 with TT chip and siemens 60lb. injectors running 23lbs using 100 octane. I wouldnt have bet on the regulator...
