    afremarket uppipe

Jays GN up-pipe is the best one on the market IMHO...the flex bend in the middle really makes it a nice piece. It looks great and functions perfectly.

    boost gauge question

Getting a boost reading from the wastegate lines are not the most accurate. Your "truest" boost reading will come from the intake itself...at least thats where mines hooked up to. #7 in the provided link. As far as MAX boost...I saw 29-30 psi for a few weeks before my turbo took a dump...

    Lights

ok.... here's the scoop about the 2 lights: 1. the lights on the digital dash are the equivalent to the tach-LED-boost bar on the anolog dashes...the only "safety" thing about it is that w/o a boost gauge (the lights being it) it gives you a baseline for where the boost is at. IT DOES A...

wastegate solenoid:whatis it & do i need it

the wastegate solonoid is needed....however, if you don't have one your car, it will do 2 things w/o it.... 1. It will give you a malfunction code 31, telling you the wastegate solonoid signal failed, and 2. you car will not go over 10 psi of boost. HTH this might help you some...

    crazy idea

Yes, while it may be a "crazy idea"...there is one thing I can think of off the top of my head... The hot-air block and the intercooled block are different in a few ways, one being the hole in the front on the intercooled block for the turbo drain. it doesn't exsist on the our block. Now...

    84 T-type

as far as I know...don't quote me here, but none of the 84's and some of the 85's had the BQ tranny...they had the BR tranny (at least mine had the BR). They're smilar, but NOT the same.
