I have a Buick 350 that I am considering setting up with a carbed turbo from a 301 pontiac. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Anyone tried it? I would need some sort of adapter for the intake. Is the turbo just too small?

Well I tried to up the boost to 12 psi and couldnt get it to quit knocking without dropping more than 4 degrees of timing. Seems like I have reached a limit for the current setup. To get more boost in there I will need either a more effective alky system or maybe a larger downpipe to help...

Well I was wrong, not about the carb hat but about the cause of the ESC system triggering early. it was not the timing that caused the knocking and got the ESC to trigger and pull advance. It was my plug gap. I had been gapped at .055". When I regapped to .032" the timing drop issue...
