    Replace the Walbro Fuel Pump?

    Thanks guys.

    Replace the Walbro Fuel Pump?

I’m pretty good with preventative maintenance (I actually just replaced the Alky pump again with Razor’s new one), but I’ve been very hesitant to “fix what ain’t broke” with my old Walbro 255 that’s been working absolutely perfect. Tank only sees 93 octane at or above half full. Car gets run and...

    Stalling issue, no restart

Next time you have it running bump the orange fusible link wire coming off the battery terminal that powers the ECM and see if it dies out. They develop an internal connection break from bouncing for 35 years (ask me how I know).

    Air Bag Heat Shield Installation

Installing dual Air Lift bag kit purchased from GbodyParts. I have the Pypes 2.5in stainless dual exhaust. I would say the closest they get to the springs is 1.5 inches. Air bag kit comes with exhaust heat shields, do you guys think they are necessary? Not too lazy to install it's just that they...

Is it bad to change a GN color scheme?

X2. Love my built V6 too and I understand how the Buick motor is sort of the 'soul' of the car, but if I break it I'm going LS. To quote what someone else posted on a similar thread once, don't remember who it was: "LS motor, plug and play. 109 motor, plug and pray."

WTB Casper's White Face Knock detector

I had a similar situation as yours. My heat soaked idle oil pressure was terrible, 6lbs with 20-50 oil. By the way this does not really mean anything as long as past idle it makes at or over the 10lbs per 1000rpm (mine was well over). That being said it bothered me so I removed the pump cover...

    AC Condenser

Ordered a Cometic for the oil pan, haven't had good 'luck' with cork or Right Stuff. Looking for recommendations/experience. I've been hedging toward spraying the pan side with Permatex Copper Spray and leaving the block side dry (after cleaning both with brake cleaner). Thanks guys.

Blowing oil out of breathers!! Compression test results.

X2 regarding the breather/grommet/valve covers. I have those same valve covers with roller rockers but larger breathers. They were making a big mess on both sides. Biggest problem was the breathers were not fitting tight enough in the grommets, and oil was actually leaking from around them under...

    Stock internals

While you're going through all the basics, I would start with a fuel pump (255 LPH), fuel filter, fuel pump 'hotwire' kit, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure rail guage, and Turbo Tweak chip from Full Throttle Speed. Correct fuel pressure is extremely important when tuning for...

    Stock internals

Welcome Dr. Stock internals can easily handle 19-20 of boost on a stock turbo, but that is not the real issue. Have you started reading any tuning threads? If the car is not setup and tuned properly for higher than stock boost levels, it will cause knock (pre-ignition/detonation) which will...

    Earl Brown's Oil Pump Mod

Thanks guys I'm going to give it a shot. Hey Earl?; My front cover oil pump bores are not so hot. I PM'd you a couple of times a month or so ago. Do you still sell blueprinted front covers with you're modded oil pump?

    Earl Brown's Oil Pump Mod

Considering drilling the extra hole in the front cover that Earl recommends, but I have read there are concerns about the pump losing prime if it sits for a long period of time. My car sits for up to 3 months without running during the winter. Anyone done this mod and had problems losing prime?

    General Question

Here is a better alternative to the club. Thieves just cut the steering wheel instead of the hardened club. Takes seconds, there are videos of it. https://www.autozone.com/alarm-and-security/security-lock/autozone-brake-pedal-lock/348033_0_0 It locks the brake pedal in the up position using...

LOL. Well I think it did originally come with an extra set of the 3 bolts to the flywheel that I don't know what I did with, but other than that it's all there. .
