    Torque Reduction on Shift 200-4R

My point is that factory transmissions with little to no mods might be able to handle a lot more HP if the Huge Torque Spike on the Shift was reduced.

    Torque Reduction on Shift 200-4R

Gentlemen and Trans Gurus, Has anyone done any work in the area of torque reduction during the shifting on a 200? I understand that the shifting is not done electrically and therefore the timing would be difficult to sync precisely but it really seems like a worthwhile project for those wanting...

Classic Fast with 2 bad injector drivers

It appears that we have 2 bad drivers in this sequential box. We are running a 4 cylinder and I am wondering if it is possible to simply connect to 2 of the unused injector wires and continue to use the box. If so, would it be possible to maintain the individual cylinder control of fuel...

    Black XFI Traction Control box

High tooth count drive shaft speed sensor best? I received my new XFI system today Directly from FAST. (I feel stupid for not buying from someone like Cal H. on here because he / they offer so much free support) but anyway it came with a part # 301347 drive shaft speed sensor kit that is...

    Boost vs. back pressure

Cal, When you say similar, are you meaning similar to the GT42? 10 Blade turbine wheels with lots of curve to the blades? Did you log the spool up time on those tests? Could you share that info? Could you share any more specs on those turbos? Good info! JDB

    Boost vs. back pressure

Dave, I'm more than a little disappointed that I had to bump in to you here in order to find out your secret. You never told ME you were @ .85! NOW I see how you are! ;) I can still remember attending a tech session @ one of the GN Nats in BG ~5 years ago where Red Armstrong was...

Craig or anyone? Injector firing order with sequential FAST

Very interesting topic. I've been given several different answers as to when the fast system actually fires the injectors. I'm lead to believe that it fires them in order (per firing order) but the actual timing (relative to valve opening) might change each time the engine is started. I was...

OK, enough of this beating around the bush FAST likes and dislikes

Craig, thanks for the long awaited update. I spoke with Jay @ the AETC last week and he had similar info. He also mentioned a data recorder system that is supposedly available NOW. I cannot find ANY details on this system on your website or anywhere else for that matter. Can you please shed...

OK, enough of this beating around the bush FAST likes and dislikes

I'm having a hard time believing that the new ECU is not ready for release. I was personally told by Lance that it would be out mid summer 03 without a doubt. He stated that the flash potential of the new box would make it certain that they could deliver by June~July. No release date @ PRI...

fast? about trans brake and two step fuel spike

I'm thinking craig hit the nail on the head. I also think you could take it one step further and factor - in boost. If you hit the chip and the boost begins to rise (as it generally does), that will cause the limiter to drop more sparks and the un-fired cylinders will be packed with far more...

fast? about trans brake and two step fuel spike

If I had an O2 sensor that didn't see multiple misfires as a lean condition I would definately be concerned. Would you please give your opinion on how you think this is possible, Shane? JD

Anybody else have this situation with IAC

Porting the IAC body and radiused inlet and outlets should be worth a few cfm. I would be interested to know how that works for ya. I'm guessing you are running lots of cam that doesn't provide much vacuum and "that" makes the IAC even less effective. FWIW- mine is "borderline" on my 4 banger...

Anybody else have this situation with IAC

Try this: (from a prior thread) "Got two minutes? OK, here's the info you've been waiting for... With the car warmed up, look in the throttle follower graph. First, set the graph to its minimum setting at your lowest TPS position. So if your TPS reads 15% at idle, then make sure that...

Thanks-A-Million to Speed Pro / FAST

LOL, Thanks to the Fast system, I've never even so much as blown a head gasket in the thing in literally hundreds of quarter mile passes and 1000+ street miles. THAT is what REALLY makes em scratch their heads! ;) JDB:D

Thanks-A-Million to Speed Pro / FAST

First off - Thanks to the Buick guys for advancing turbo technology in leaps and bounds and allowing brand "F" to post to this board and absorb the wealth of info available here. :) Secondly I want to say Thanks to Lance and Craig for their development and support of the Fel Pro / Speed Pro...
