    87 should have the #690 Pump body with the step machined to prevent Bushing walk. Links above are for a 700r4 but, they use the same style/type Pump as the 2004r. Just use a different style/size Stator support.

    What about the Low/Reverse "cup plug / rubber seal" in the Case? May have been damaged or fallen out when the Valvebody was removed. Figure 8-19 on Pg.132 in CK's manual.
