Who's ready for some 3800 power?!

Oh yeah, I know what you mean about trying to work on a car inside an oven (aka the garage).haha It's been up to 115 degrees for many days in Vegas. I look forward to hearing about how your new speed density system is working, too.

Who's ready for some 3800 power?!

Thanks, Dan. I saw both of your pictures in this thread but couldn't make out the details of what was done to the timing cover. It looks like you have a fitting attached on the driver's side of the timing cover on yours and Brian has one on the passenger side of the cover. Do you have any...

Who's ready for some 3800 power?!

Could you guys give some more info on the water pump setup you're using. I see one is mechanical and the other is electric. Any close-up pictures of the mods done to the timing cover? Thanks!

Who's ready for some 3800 power?!

A Turbo Trans Am would be a cool ride. I like the 3800 engine since they can take a lot of hp on stock components and are so cheap. I know what you mean about the time it takes gathering up parts.

Who's ready for some 3800 power?!

Thanks! It'll get pricey to gather up all of the stock GN stuff but that might be the best way to go. Unfortunately, I sold my complete GN engine. I like how the alternator and a/c compressor mount so close. No way that long l67 a/c compresor will work. I'll be using a Stattama intake.

Who's ready for some 3800 power?!

Needing help, guys. I'm starting to make more progress on my car and am seeking info on the setup for the front accessories (alternator, a/c, etc). What exact brackets, oem or custom, are needed to mount 87 GN accessories to the 3800 SII block? Also, I have the accessories from my donor 98...

    Turbo 3800 Greetings.. (pic heavy?)

I hear you about collecting parts and researching, Zeth. Due to limited funds, I've spent over a year prowling car forums, Craigslist and ebay looking for great deals. I'll be going e85 to start out with, too, until I get it tuned good with my hp tuner. Going to install an ST5 cam like...

Who's ready for some 3800 power?!

Well, good luck to us all who take the time to research and build something unique and thank you to all those who help us along the way. Looks like I'll likely be chopping up some 3800 camaro pacesetter headers along with sections of the old gn headers to get my hotside built. My shiny new...

Glad your motor is ready to go back in. I'm in the middle of a 3800 build myself. Headers are a pain! Should be good once I get those done. Keep up the great work!
