Need help finding trim, 1993 Park Ave Ultra

Hi kids, I need to find some exterior trim for my mothers 1993 PA ultra, not having any luck down here in Clearwater, Florida. Anybody know of someone parting out/scrapping one of these beauties that might have both left & right fender trims? The trim between wheel opening and door is what I...

Need help bad with this car.

Brother, I would be looking for any leaks/loose clamps/bad hoses between the turbo and the intake manifold to head surface. It would not take much of a leak air on the "pressure" side of the turbo after the mass air sensor "assumed" it was going where it was meant to. Any leak in the system...

    Knocking Ticking Front Engine Noise

My betting money is on pulling the timing cover, I hear 2 different noises, 1 is deffinately a worn/weak/broken camshaft thrust bumper/spring. The 2nd noise might very well be a worn out timing chain tensioner or timing chain/gear assembly. Good luck, Kevin.

Is anyone else marking the date? The countdown has now been marked towards a repeat offender stating: WTF? We will resume at a later date after the OP has a chance to survey the damages. Kevin.

WHAT TO YOU THINK ITS WORTH

I hope you are keeping an eye on the oil condition, fouling plugs and excessive overfueling can and will put enough gasoline into the crankcase to destroy it's ability to lubricate the vitals inside. What ever you do, change the oil and filter BEFORE you take it down the road hard, just one full...

    When to do engine rebuild?

I believe 100% in what Nick has stated, many of us old farts appreciate what has been proven "good" in our existance, and any automobile that rolls to 188.000 thousand miles is good in my book. Comparing a 1984-87 Buick powered stormfront to a 2012 performance vehicle is not fair in my book...

    Billet Main ?

And your very unlikely to see a damaged #1 or #4 main bearing ever cause you grief unless you screw yourself in the balancing department. Likewise, #2 & #3 mains get mucho blameo for troubles, that is where the block is weakest along the main axis and under stress (boost) the block is twisted by...

    Help Please! Can't figure out code 44 & 31!

My bet is on a MAF sensor gone awry causing both codes, by chance do you have a local member in your area that has a known "good" MAF sensor to test with? If you verify that it is defective, I would recommend getting ahold of someone here to get you squared away with a newer generation Mass Air...

    700r4 help

Sorry Eric, I didn't intend my comment to come off the way it may have. If you disconnect the electrical plug from the left side of transmission, you should be able to drive around just fine as a 200-4R will not care if gas/diesel in reguards to lock up function info back to the ECM or it's...

    700r4 help

I'm not making "Assumptions", I'm telling you the truth, you maybe just don't want to read it, incorrectly wiring the TCC solinoid does not "Fail" a conveter, may stall your engine coming to a stop, but that's about it. So there must be more to the story of "How/Why" your converter failed, work...

    Stage Rite question

If your StageRight style trans brake is not holding in manual 1st and allowing your car to move FORWARD under boost/added torque input.....you have a smoked direct clutch assembly. See Chris/Lonnie/Bruce/David (as well as a few others that like the 200-4R, never ever trust a mechanic that says...

    700r4 help

Transmissions in general (reguardless of manufacture) are very much intollerant of any debris floating through it's veins(fluid). While the actual geartrain and friction clutches can absorb some, the clearances inside the valve body and pump won't tollerate solid particulates floating through...

    4L60E build tips

I would recommend to always reinstall the 3-4 release springs, I know that there are many different clutch materials/clutch disc amounts(number of discs) available, I have had the best results with what is called the "Hi-Energy" kits with the thick steels, gray metalic in color. I also remove...
