Yeah you're fine running the fronts as 8ohms off the front channels. Where you run into problems is when you run 4ohm speakers in parallel and drop to 2ohms.

I made the mistake of trying to install mine with the lines off the radiator and it moved when I tightened it. Cracked one of the thin sidewalls off. So yeah I need the "sandwich" I don't need the brass fittings or anything...asap :)

You're probably going to have to put the car back together and get it running right to get anywhere near $10k. That's close to what a clean, running GN goes for. Or you can just do what everyone else does with a project they're buried in, part it out.
