    Updates from TSM @ BG

Congratulations to John Plog on his TSM runner up . This was John's first race in TSM trim . He had to overcome a small mountian of issues leading up to the Noble race and again in BG but he never quit trying and it rewarded him with a best ever finish and MPH just a tick short of 147 MPH in...

    Billet 67 runs 9.71

I know what the combination is because I built it . It was designed to be a strong running daily driver engine. The parts used are far from high end but everything was worked to be a solid piece. The particulars are irrelevent as just about any size engine can be made to make the HP...

    Exh. biased cams..

The fact of the matter is a large percentage of the grinds used are of such short duration and lift that the overlap is minimal and of little use in that respect. The idea behind the verse durtion is to minimize the backwash in the exhaust when the back pressure becomes excessively greater...

    K1 rod/ARP torque spec.

John, You misunderstood me , I said 30 # preload and 60 degrees. That spec is with the high pressure lube supplied. If you need some I can send you a tube. K1 doesn't have a torque because it is not accurate

    Stroker crank/rod to block clearance

An experienced machine shop should know that when changing any major components that checking swing clearances is necessary. The parts suppliers don't really care, it only adds to their machining cost . It is up to the end user to verify all crash zones be checked . And gring rod bolts after...

    Cam selections...

[ It's possible to go very fast with stock stuff/small stuff, I believe bison was running a 212/212 when he put his stock shortblock car well over 130mph. I'm sure he along with other more knowledgeable people will chime in but it's food for thought. I have had larger engines go near 140...

    Engine balancing

If you want to send it up here we can take care of that , it's just part of our normal service.

    Engine balancing

If the balancer/flywheel are neutral it isn't going to make any difference on the crank. For the record I use 36.6% on anything under 800 or so HP.I have done several 1300 +HP engines also at 36.6 and not seen any Ill efects. If you are going to use the lesser value I would suggest taking a...

    560ci V6

I would think that's it's a 5.6L engine . The crank cam spacing doesn't look tall enough for a 5.25 stroke and the length of the block also looks to short for a 5.00 bore spacing . 340 CI sounds more reallistic.Just my opinion though .

Mike Bamfords New Bowtie Syclone Engine

That's because the same guy built both engines:wink::wink::wink:

    Broken Diamond Piston. Pics why????

I would be willing to bet that the aluminum left the cylinder as molten particles . Some of it will likely be on the exhaust valve and guide . And it doesn't matter whose piston it is the ring placement is incorrect for a turbo application.

    Forges External balanced crank?

The fact of the matter is that any crankshaft can be made external balance. It requires that the internal counterweight be lightened enough to allow for the excess weight of the balancer and flywheel. Though not an advantage because if it's done in a manner that is not a hack job it probably...

Cottons Comp Cam roller cam kits

I am sure Dan at DLS is awesome, but you need to lose your pom poms and cheerleader outfit..... nut hugging team Bamford is getting you no respect. Were do you get off ASSUMING that I had anything to do with Ted's state- ment. As far as I'm concerned it makes you look just as big a douche...
