Th400 swap bc i dont want to do it twice.

If you don't mind the loss of OD and you never want to crawl under the car to pull the transmission again... I'd say go for it. I did the TH400 swap on two of my three Turbo Buicks. I loved the OD for cruising around, but I hate fixing things more than once. Even some of the best builders have...

    its back, ls turbo inside

Damn... can't believe it's been that long. Good to see you are still whoopin on it. lol BTW... it went straight when I had it. :D The "YUL LOSE" tag is now hanging on the back of a Vette. I just cannot believe the power of these LS motors when they are boosted. :D

What's up folks ? Haven't logged in for awhile...

Just figured I'd pop in and say "hey" to those I haven't talked to in awhile. Haven't logged in to the forum in awhile. Have I missed much ? :D I never managed to buy back my old GN... and wound up with a used Vette instead. So instead of leaving it stock and slow... I added a blower, intake...

    Modified GN-9 sec capable-$13,500-trades?

Dan... I think the guys buying the car are not capable of operating all the doodads and gadgets I had on the car. I had the wideband tracking chip, LM1,Powerlogger, etc on the car when I sold it and as far as I'm aware, it hasn't been hooked up since. The car is above the average guys head and I...

    Modified GN-9 sec capable-$13,500-trades?

Are you kidding ? It was sold long ago and has already changed hands a few times since then. It went from me to a guy in Oregen... and from there it was sold to a guy in Tennessee. That guy recently sold it also. Last I heard the car was in Ohio with the most recent buyer.

Looks like I'll be back in the Buick game shortly...

Mark... you should consider dabbling in the Corvette market. Those guys spend stupid amounts of money on flash and dazzle stuff.

They were just stock springs that I cut until I got the stance I wanted. I'd still like to have another GN... but that won't happen for awhile now. I have too many things I'd like to do to the Vette first.

Looks like I'll be back in the Buick game shortly...

Just to update this old thread... The deal on the GN fell through for a number of reasons. Either way... the GN now belongs to a guy in Ohio, and I decided to buy a 2005 Corvette instead. lol I've already started making changes to it...

    The better head gasket

    Then run better fuel.

    rear wheel width

Here's a better angle on mine. I think the secret is to keep them centered under the wheelwell. A 15x7 with a 3.5"BS will work as good as a 15x8 with a 4"BS.

    Bob Bailey ignition module

I'd definitely be interested in this setup... especially the arrangement with LS2 coils on top of the module and billet mounting brackets. Coils on the valve covers just look so cluttered.

1/2" Head Studs in a 109 Block ..Who's Done It?

I don't think the head gasket problems are a result of fastener weakness... it's due to a lack of fasteners around the cylinder and blocks with thin decks.

    rear wheel width

I will go against the grain here and say I never cared for the jacked-up 4x4 look required to clear big wheel/tire combos. In my opinion, the GN's look much better with the rubber tucked up inside the wheel wells. I've always had great luck with 15x7 rims and a 3.5" backspace using a 275/60-15...

Looks like I'll be back in the Buick game shortly...

Yeah, I really regret not getting a timeslip before selling it. I'm really grateful that the current owner is selling the car back to me. It's not often people get an opportunity like this. My biggest concern is what damage/wear n tear may have occurred while out of my possession. Rest...

This car was my third Turbo Buick, and was by far the best of them all. I regretted selling it from the day it left on the car carrier.
