    GNS Test car For Sale!

This is insane. I can't believe that this car is still for sale. GLWS Scott.

    Seen "Lone Survivor" yet?

Those are 'Docter' optics. A small reflex sight that is normally on magnified optics and is in the military NSN system. Most troops with M4's will have them on top of ACOG's.

    Gun experts please chime in....

A little late, but I'd say Colt M4 carbine. 14.5 1/7 twist govt. profile barrel, factory stock, matech buis (rear sight), KAC quad rail and vertical fore grip, EO Tech Holographic sight (short battery box so I'd say he's running CR123's), Surefire M95 weapon light. The flash suppressor is a...

    Couple AK Questions...

14x1 LH thread is the standard for AK47's. 74's run 24mm x 1.5. There are plenty of brakes. For more traditional, check out k-var.com. For a lot more selection try cncwarrior.com they have a bunch. The wire you see in the receiver is the trigger/hammer spring.

    Laser/Holo sights...

I'm not sure of any other holographic sight besides eo techs. You might be able to find a good deal on a used one on another forum. The older ones (I'd say pre 2008ish) are rough on batteries though. What is the rifle used for? Self defense? Training? Plinking? All of the above? If it's a...

    M&P triggers

M&P triggers have a reputation of being gritty when they are new, but tend to "smooth out" after a few hundred rounds. I would put 500+ rds through it and see how it feels. I've shot an m&p with an apex trigger recently. Almost felt like a race gun to me. The reset was insane, haha. I normally...

    Fun with paint

Thanks. It was looking kinda iffy about half way through, but I'm happy with the end result. Besides, it doesn't have to look pretty, right?

Looking at LMT CQB 16 compliant

LMT rifles are good to go. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one. I have shot LMT's and LMT uppers. I believe they were part of the socom sopmod block I program. That should tell you what level they're at. Get it.

    E-Series

I am looking at an e-series too. From what I've heard they are good guns. They have external extractors which some 1911 purists thumb their nose at, but if any company has nailed an external extractor on a 1911, it's Smith.

    1911 opinion/options

Well. It's true that you get what you pay for. Maybe I'll wait a little longer and go for something a little more high end. I do like the Ed Brown Kobra and pretty much most of the Nighthawk guns.

    1911 opinion/options

Trust me Shane, if my pockets were a little deeper I would definitely be on the nighthawk train. I had the pleasure of handling a GRP recon. Soooo nice. I was looking at the new Bob Marvel model...until I saw the price. Sticker shock was an understatement, haha. Gary, thanks for the advice. I...

    1911 opinion/options

Nice. Small touches. I think that speaks volumes about the 1911 platform. Most are so nice "out of the box" that all they need are little touches. I looked at the Dan Wesson's, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to put that much down on a carry gun. One day though...

    1911 opinion/options

Well Oliver, I guess great minds think alike. The commander sized 1911 I referred to in the original post was in fact a Springfield Champion Lightweight Operator. I loved the balance of it. I traded it in for a FNP-45 Tactical. The FN is a great gun, but I missed the Springer as soon as I let it...

    1911 opinion/options

Actually, I'm looking at a Kimber. Local dealer has a Super Carry Pro. Has a lot of features for the price. I'm really digging the bobtail too. I hear mixed things about Kimber. You either love them or hate them it seems. I was impressed handling it. The fit was tighter than I expected for a...

    1911 opinion/options

I'm not gonna lie. I wasn't even tracking that Ruger rolled out a 1911. It sounds vaguely familiar now, but I honestly don't remember. From what I read so far, it looks like a lot of gun for the price. Thanks for the tip!

    1911 opinion/options

Hey guys. Going to add a 1911 to the stable soon. I've owned a commander sized .45 in the past and liked it (should have never sold it). Decided to get back on the 1911 horse and wanted to hear some opinions. I'll most likely pick up something in the Springfield/Kimber range. I was thinking...
