    Who's still around and active?

Ya, miss it. Other day had to throw away the large cardboard piece I kept under it...all those oil stains made me forlorn

    Who's still around and active?

 Well, lost another one, gave my '87 to son living in Fla. He'd been interested 2-3 yrs, then stationed in Middle East, then we made a road trip of it. First had Lou go over it make sure all was well (he worked on all day, I had to endure the sarcasm). Open trailered it, lots of looks &...

    Well-wishes for Lou

Saw him Thursday & he was not 100%, car was only 50%. The lingering cold/flue/whatever must have worn him down as he was somewhat pleasant. It appeared to be a series of things making the car grumpy but Lou kept at it & had it happily running just in time for me to face LA 5 PM traffic...

    Well-wishes for Lou

Lou has not been his usual preppy cheerful self past few weeks (humm, instead of term "under the weather" can we use "under the GN" ?) . Wishing our craftsman well. Hopefully a little mutton soup will cure all.

Exciting. Always more fun to build something cool than to try figure out a quirky problem & fix it. Wicked GN's are soooo cool.

    Need Mechanic

Did not mean anything derogatory; I thought Lou's Saltiness well-known, part of his admired character & second only to his TB expertise. I am surprised how he remembers detail, like the time years ago when he did such&such to my car, etc. Nope, he's a likable guy & appreciate his...

    Need Mechanic

Lou kind of grumpy lately, think he tired of the multitude of gremlins hiding in these old beasts. I'll sweeten up to him next week. Just don't put much faith in local shops that are fine for "normal" cars, these GN's are getting old & kind of problematic/difficult for those not real...

    Turbo Rebuild

Oh be nice, sure I'm not only one thought it funny. Love my GN, but they ARE like a beautiful woman...who's mean to you. BTW,, any value to a used one (bearings started going out & was replaced)? Am moving & was going throw away, but can give to Lou when see him next.

    Need Mechanic

YEARS after the sale, like I said, can't help but like the grouch, I mean guy. But, being a GN, there is always the ongoing promise of a long relationship with your mechanic . I'll call him early during the work week.

    Need Mechanic

Ya, I'm one of the mutton-puncher fans myself. He rebuilt engine long ago (great job!), & he's helped with current issue, I then dragged it down to him (that's when got new coil pack & module), etc. Fine tuned, etc., drove fine, thought problem solved, dragged it back home...

    Need Mechanic

Ya, that's the problem, electronic demons. Yes, fuel pump continues running, not the car. Guess could check spark on each cylinder when it does it quit thing, although if were any such problem the new coil pack & module should have taken care of it. Also, if still has spark, how to know it's...

Luv her, but she not dependable. Runs normal for awhile, sometimes 20 min, other times an hour, then it starts acting like out of fuel & quits; wont start , let it sit for about 2 hrs & it repeats cycle. And/or, running fine going someplace, turn it off & it won't start, like it's out of...

    Buick's at Irwindale

Humm....I see can be misinterpreted. The Hellcats ran mid-11's (lost). The following week ran against a new COPO Camaro, damnnnn those things can run!!! Come with a 'chute, launch wheels-up. Driver told me they can be custom made, none are street-legal.
