Check the basic hot-air info sticky.Top of the page. Go through the no start tests. No-start can be a pain in the ass.

Thrasher chips have to have fuel pressure set @ 45 line off

Go AC Delco Plugs.

TPS should be above 4.5 @ wot IAC a little high. Your definitely running rich. Prolly fouled the plugs ,o2 sensor. any vacuum leaks?

You messed up your MAF sensor. ther'es no way of cleaning or anything else. It's pretty sensitive.

These cars don't like the platinum plugs. I use AC Delco, some use autolite or NGK.

Turbo Link will work with the the 85 ecm. It will have a limited data stream. http://www.turbo-link.com/i Sometimes you can pick them up used on the board. It will also work with the 87 ecm when you upgrade. The LT1 maf and translator will require the 87 ecm upgrade to use.

I think it's mainly to straighten out and distribute the air. Should be ok. I've run the maf's with one or no screens.
