    You can not truly balance a Buick V6 spilt through crank. It's compromise. If it was so close to perfect(there's no such thing with these engines) the rail supports will not affect it one bit. Once oil starts slinging around it's out of balance. I have balanced may Buick V6's at RCG and now I do...

    The black wire needs an engine ground, the coil will work without that tab grounded. The coil/module grounds through the stock bracket to the intake then the block. I just run a ground to the bottom of the TR6?module and directly to intake stud....direct engine ground...not the body. Redundant...

    Send the unit back to Bob Bailey, with the coil. He will test it, he may even put it on his car. Then you will have your another. Bob is a great guy he can figure it out if it's tr6/coil related.

    Look at the fillets on the rods, are they the same as rods? If not then it's an NA crank.
