    accel data cable difference

I have a gen VII data cable will it work with a thruster system as well? I can't find a thruster cable listed in the accel catalog, only gen VII versions of different lengths. I assume so and will try it out tomorrow. I have had to use gen VII software to adjust things in the thruster software...

    Big stuff outputs on V-6

the big stuff has some neat ouptut like a second pump turn on setting and the two step. Do these still work with the typical adapter harness for the turbo 6, do you need to add wires straight from the big stuff box, or do you lose some of these functions with the V-6 waste spark setup? I have a...

    need gen 6 IPU mod

Where can I send a small block chevy V8 gen 6 box to get modded to use an IPU pickup so we can use the MSD distributor instead of having to use an HEI? I'd prefer not to use Accel as I don't think they support the Gen 6 anymore.

Brand new in box MSD 62152 ignition. Customer backed out of the install. He had it too long to return it so is trying to get as much money back out of it as possible. generic oil drain grommet?

I have a new one ordered through my GM dealer, but it has not arrived yet. they had to order it through a discontinued source so supplies will be limited anyway. For future reference anyone had luck finding a generic grommet to fit the turbo drain hole in the intake? I can seem to find ones...

    testing TPS.

83 carb/turbo t type The original TPS sensor had a broken plunger that just fell aprt. I replaced it with a new one. Upon testing it it reads .77 per spec, but the voltage reading actually goes down as the throttle is opened to zero and stays there. Shouldn't it go up? Top wire has 5 volt...

I recently have been working on a 83 turbo carbed car for a customer. The car is in good shape with a recent rebuild of the motor and the trans. Customer was looking for some upgrades as well as some general tuning to get a "little" more out of his car. I figured the best upgrade for his...

widebands matched to calibration disk or ECM?

Just got a replacement wideband for my older FAST system in today. Problem is I told Harry at Precision the wrong serial number off the box. Can I still use the sensor with its matching calibration disk or is there really something in the box that it has to be setup for? I would think the...

ECU for trans and engine control

Looking at putting a late model Hemi with 5 speed automatic into my next project now that the Buick is gone. Can a Big Stuff or XFI control an electronic trans and a dual plug v-8? I'd hate to have to go with an AEM system, and am not sure even it can control a trans. The dual plug setup on...

    Hard wiring MSD DIS box

The adapter box MSD is fine and all, but it seems to interfere with the wiper arms a little, and looks bad with the extra plugs hanging out of it. However does anybody have a picture of one out of a box so I can hard wire a DIS box to the coil. My old car (now sold) was done this way. I thought...

matching o2 sensor to ECM on FAST

Had one die on me last weekend. Air fuel readings stuck at 15.9 and not moving. Normally we swap to a new one and load the calibration (AKA moneymaker) disk to get them talking to each other again. Since this sensor had little run time on it I was going to swap O2 and ECM from my other car to...
