Edelbrock EPS Performer 800 CFM Carburetor 1412

Hi guys, I have my Edelbrock EPS 800 CFM carb for sale. It is a few years old but works great. I have returned it to the stock calibration and it is complete with the origanl box and all. I would accept $175 (plus shipping) if sold here rather than ebay. I am trying to gather money for...

Will it hurt to run a L/U unlocked?

I had a 4th gear lock up too. I hated it and just dropped the pan and pulled the wire off the sensor. Now I just have a micro switch on my shifter ball that I use to lock and unlock the converter at will. I much prefer this method. I believe it is detrimental to run the trans in 4th without...

    Upper contorl arms

Well I'm not surprised it can't be aligned with no shims. Just because they are tubular doesn't mean you don't use shims. You still have to use shims. The only arms that are shimless are the SPC adjustable arms. The arms adjust so you don't need shims.

    17X9 snowflakes....thoughts?

Sorry I don't have much skill at the photoshopping, but here is an attempt. I think they look really good on a GN.

    Wrecked 87 GN. Here goes.

    Hi, I sent a PM.

Ok here are some super large photos of the tread depth. I do have a potential buyer, but if that deal falls through, they will be available. Left Front: Left Rear: Right Front: Right Rear:

    vigilante converter

Well It's too bad you got screwed by the seller. I have had pretty good experiences and most people are upfront about what they are selling. But there are always a few that deliberately withhold information to screw an unsuspecting person and steal their money. Most people assume the seller is...

wanted deep trans pan for 200r

As I noted above the sump pictures, you use one of the valvebody bolts to secure it. I can't really remember how much extra fluid it holds, but it is considerable. Probably around 3-4 litres. Yes you'd likely have to shorten the PTS bottom feeder to a similar length I made mine, to have it...

wanted deep trans pan for 200r

Ok I found them. Here is the pan. It isn't super pretty here, but with a coat of paint it looks quite nice: The sump is held in place by the the electrical strap in the last pic using one of the valve body bolts:

wanted deep trans pan for 200r

I don't have one, but these pans have been around for a while. This is the best price I have ever seen for a new one. Inside the pan there are aluminum stands to hold the stock filter in place. To use a bottom feeding 700r4 filter, I believe the rear stands have to be ground down a bit for...

    Billet forward drums

Ok Thanks Chris, I'll give it a try. I'll call in this morning.

Yokohama Avid ST 295/50/15 and 245/60/15 (2 each)

Hi John, thanks for your interest. Unfortunately it isn't really cost effective to ship to you. Both UPS and Canada Post are indicating about $90 CAD per tire to ship, and not much less if they were strapped together and shipped as one.

    Billet forward drums

Well if I can fix it by throwing a real shift kit into it, I'd rather do that than having to tear it all apart.

Hey guys, I have decided to go with larger rims on my car, and have decided to sell these tires. (the rims are for sale too, but I doubt any GN guys want TA rims, so I didn't list them. If interested let me know) They are almost brand new, with at most 1000 KMs on them. They are T speed rated...

    Billet forward drums

Hey Chris, any more surprise sales like this coming up soon? Also I may need a shift kit as I have a 2-3 flare at WOT. Do you think your kit will help? The car is a 1980 Firebird with a .030 over 455 (462) which is making approx. 550-600 HP. I built the trans myself using your book. It is...

What to do with 2004r accumulators

Agreed. This is to what I was alluding. I do have a 10" 3200 converter, so the shift is quite nice. With the stock converter in there it was just too crazy.

Mobil 424 fluid for the trans?

I have never been about the brand. I don't think it matters really. They all meet the same specifications and standards. We have all heard stories from our best friend's, father's grandfather that ran Quaker State in his car, didn't change his oil for 6 years, did eventually with Valvoline...

What to do with 2004r accumulators

Omitting the piston and spring and blocking the port in the 1-2 will result in very firm shifts if running a stock converter. You will easily have tire chirp on every shift even if very light throttle. If you have a looser/higher stall converter than stock, the added converter slop will eat up...
