Drilled and tapped two holes in the block, and used some sleeves as standoffs for the tray. Have pictures if anyone is...

Factory hotair HG, bumping static CR 86’ 109

Looking for some “chiming in” on my idea. after a vacant search result, I was able to successfully put my hands on a set of 25524559 .018” compressed head gaskets. I believe they came on the hotair cars. Anyways…. my current motor is a stock crank, rod, and old school dished Wiseco piston .020...

Pac 1201s, stock shafts w/ braces? RRs mandatory?

I saw the prices of linkbars and still cant believe it, especially after seeing all the problems people have had with these aftermarket sets. I know some are good units, but for less than 50 bucks, I have setup the lifters, tray and dogbones. Correct lifter preload and a healthy set of lifters...

Pac 1201s, stock shafts w/ braces? RRs mandatory?

Its not for the faint of heart, but not extremely difficult either. Have to drill a couple holes in the lifter valley for the tray, and find some bushings or studs to stand it off the valley floor. Just a little creativity is needed.

Pac 1201s, stock shafts w/ braces? RRs mandatory?

I am going to use the short style mid 90s GM roller lifters that came in a variety of cars at the time. I purchased the tray and dogbones off Ebay from an 88 Century.

Pac 1201s, stock shafts w/ braces? RRs mandatory?

Thanks for the advice. I do my best to make sure everything is set up right. Called the machinist and just told him Im bringing the roller rockers next week to clearance them. He already has the TTA exhaust valves, and to clearance the heads for the standard viton seals they require. He also...

Pac 1201s, stock shafts w/ braces? RRs mandatory?

Figured Id put my head on the block and get some needed critiquing of my current setup going in the car. purchases a 206/206 weber roller from a member here, along with some brand new PAC 1201s. 140 closed at 1.750 and I believe around 420 open.
