    I'm Callin' You Out!

I'm going back to work Monday the 13th! Cleared by doctor today but still have healing to do I'm not 100% yet. Oil adapter back from weld shop for the V8Corvair with the tightest fit ever but it fit first try. The tube next to it is the shifter link and it's in that position when in 3rd or 4th...

    Power, boost, and airflow

This machine needs boost, launch and hook and get at least a 1.8 60ft for mid 12 ET.

    Power, boost, and airflow

IMO you have incorrect thoughts on your question #1 The stock turbo combo is the one making power at lower boost levels, raising the static compression ratio will make more HP at lower boost. That combo you mention is probably a low to mid 12 sec range or slower without turning boost up. Stock...

Exhaust Header Gaskets? Yea, or Nay?

I prefer no gasket with some copper rtv. IMO Definitely don't use any laminated perforated steel core gasket.

    252 v6 oil problem

Ken49indian Must have a '86+ LG2 or LG3 front cover setup swapped over on the 4.1l block. Those started in '86 with tranverse mounted engines.

    252 v6 oil problem

A very well corroded/porous timing cover can allow oil in places it shouldn't be. Odd place for oil to be seen for sure

    High compression 4.1L

Earl worked with me and helped on these 4.1 slugs. Definitely contact Earl Brown. Welcome, I'll add to this thread as the engine is built.

    High compression 4.1L

I haven't planned on E85 for this engine. I definitely can, E85 is local at pumps now. I did intend to run it on race fuel and 93/alky.

    I'm Callin' You Out!

You'll be alright, don't loose any ball bearings, the plastic high beam rod pusher is fun to keep oriented.

    High compression 4.1L

The wait is over this week after a few years of collecting parts, I'm ready to send everything off to get balanced. These parts will build a 10:1 compression forged long rod bottom end using: T6 performance stock stroke steel crank/neutral flex plate. Molnar 6.3" rods Racetec 10:1 forged...

Onto shortening and removing deleted circuits in this truck 5.3 harness not much to integrate from the chassis harness but 12v+, ground and ignition. https://photos.app.goo.gl/Q88fS84vfRRdAF9v9

    I'm Callin' You Out!

LS swap troubles in tight places: oil pan drain plug has very little clearance to the shift tube, a M12x1.75 flanged head socket screw will fix that. https://photos.app.goo.gl/5wCow3a4vXJeCndW8 Now the oil filter relocation setup needs modified, it was too long and definitely long with 8AN...

Perhaps, what happened at 18? Lol I'd work out why you get this at 23-24 first.

    Turbo flutter at wot

Check the wastegate lines and controller for leaks, you may just have a boost controller oscillation if you have a manual controller.

    New 1982 sports coupe

Early draw through systems are hard to find complete and working, lots of drawbacks with running those. Building an alternative turbo v6 or the LC2 swap gets my vote. Nice '82

Indeed but it's beat on and raced for 5 years and thousands of miles.
