    New pump pressure.

interesting. mine is a new pump from Julio as well, but I could only get 180 PSI if the motor was running and my scanmaster read 14.2 volts. was your engine running when you tested your pump?

    New pump pressure.

You must have some good voltage running to the pump? or you got a better pump than I did?

    New pump pressure.

Ok, test with key just in run postion 11.7 volts, pump test @ 140psi. Engine running 14.2 volts @ 170psi. I'm not bashing, but why would anyone sell a tester with the wrong info in the instructions? 🤷‍♂️. Just saying.....

    New pump pressure.

Just received another response from Alkycontrol. Older instructions. The pump should make 200 psi with 14 volts at the pump The car is off, there is a little loss of power from controller to pump voltage wise, settings within controller, etc so 140 should be about right not running. In the...

    New pump pressure.

Here is an email response I received back from Alkycontrol today. ( I usually get 140 at 11.5-12v on the car. At 14 volts pressure will be higher, but typically you should only need 100-120 tops ) So, with that being said I should be good, but why the instructions say it should...

    New pump pressure.

Thanks, Chuck However, the instructions that came with the tester says to only put the Key to the on position and the Alky Daul to 8. Are you thinking that I don't have enough volts with engine off to get the proper reading?

So, does any have any idea why my new pump only shows 140 PSI? We kind of got off track and started discussing the new design.

    New pump pressure.

Correct he said cost was to high. Said the total cost with shipping would be close to the cost of a new pump. The new pump design u can buy replacement heads and do it yourself. Cost is $80 and u don't have to send in and wait for it to come back. Also u don't need 2 pumps if u were like me...

    New pump pressure.

I purchased a new pump from Alkycontrol along with the GN tester. New pump only shows 140 PSI. The instructions for the tester says new pump should be 170-180psi. old pumps will read 150-160PSI. why would a brand-new pump read 140psi? I emailed Alkycontrol (Julio) and got an auto reply back...

    Oil left in pan?

It's not a big deal, I just thought if it was a simple modification I would do it while the pan was down. Also, you can't check that oil for metal fragments if it's still in the pan. I'm going to add a magnetic plug. obviously, I'm not going to drop the pan every oil change. I just thought...

    Oil left in pan?

After draining my oil, I have dropped the oil pan, and I'm amazed at how much oil is still left in the bottom of the pan. There had to be a 1/4 inch of oil left. This is because of the bung for the drain plug won't let the pan empty all the way. My question is, what's a simple mod that can be...

flatten the thrust surface on the front cover?

The oil pump pocket looked very good, very light scratches that I couldn't catch with my fingernail. The pump cover needs lapped/ or replaced. great replies, Thanks!

flatten the thrust surface on the front cover?

I will be removing the oil pan during this as well. Once I seen the missing teeth, I knew I was taking the pan down. Would you have a part Number for a roller Cam button? Should I put new crank and rod bearing in while the pan is down? who Knows how long the teeth have been missing? 70K...

flatten the thrust surface on the front cover?

I'm replacing the stock timing gear set on a stock engine. The thrust surface on the front cover has a dimple. I'm thinking I need to flatten that area for new button. How would you go about doing this? How bad is bad before you should replace cover? next question, Is it recommended to...
