Anyone have any info on a Dyna Tech stage 3 chip. It came in my Regal t and seems to have quite a bit of boost. I haven't been able to identify any other modifications on the car.

A hi boost chip should include basic mods to support it.
IE: Pump and hotwire, injectors, colder plugs, adj wastegate, instruments to monitor the performance.
None of these items appear to be there?
If not, stay off the boost until you check things out and get the right parts installed.

Look for an adjustable wastegate actuator. If it's threaded, then the car has had the shit kicked out of it if the owner didn't know what they were doing and weren't monitoring fueling/KR.

My bad, It is Dyno Tech. I think its an old chip. I can't get information on it. The injectors look to be stock however I don't know how to identify them and the fuel regulator does not look adjustable. I see in the service records the fuel pressure was checked a while back and was 40 lbs.

If it's a dynoteck car from fred vetter
He would have put the parts in to match things, he was good at that and really one of the 1st guys I talked to back in the day that focused on the cars combination and focused more on how to drive the car than throwing parts at it.
He was also a guy who went fast with less.
11.0 on a 49 back in the day😉

So, would that Dyno Tech stage 3 be ok to run on an otherwise stock GN? Is the 42 lb. injectors stock?

42lb injectors aren't stock.
The chip has to match the injector.
I find it hard to believe you have a stage 3 chip not matched to the injector of the car.
It wouldn't run right.
Yes you can run the stage 3 chip on pump fuel but you will need to keep the boost low= 15psi ish.
The chip is not adjustable all we used to do was turn the boost up and add octane in the form of race gas.

Stock inj pt # 0280 150 218.
Should be around the top of the injector in white lettering.

I did find the injector number at the top and it appears to be stock (280 150 218). I was afraid of that and why I started this post in the first place. I had a new 1986 and 1987 Grand National so I knew the boost was higher than stock. I think I'm staying out of the boost until I get a new chip or injectors and fuel pump. I found records that the fuel pump was checked at 40 psi so I'm assuming it's also stock. I bought this car a few weeks back and it is in terrific shape with 40k original miles so I don't want to hurt it.

I'd recommend getting a TT chip for it. Again, check if it has an adjustable wastegate rod...as they start off about 14-16 PSI. Throw a new fuel pump in it. It's a 2 beer job.

What kind of boost are you actually seeing?
Checking a fuel pump at 40psi doesnt give any indication the pump is stock.
Adjust the the rod and bring the boost down to 15 till you want to start the mod process.

Do you have a list of mods you’ve found so far?
Post some photos of the engine compartment, a lot of these guys can spot performance parts a mile away. Ported heads and bigger cams are a little tougher though. Lol
