Let's have some fun. If we had a Hall of Fame for the Automotive Aftermarket, any category, who would you nominate on your ballot or who would be included in the First Class of 10?

I'll start...

Gale Banks
Ken Duttweiller
Reeves Callaway
Dick Cepek
J.R. Granatelli
Vic Edelbrock

These are just a few to get us started.

Let's hear em.

My brother had a model A in the backyard so I put the horn in my 70 Cutlass so I didn't need that chrome one. :p

I did buy a ton of stuff from those catalogs for my first cars, two Olds Vista Supreme wagons.

Tachometers, cheap fog lights and a capacitive-discharge IGN system for my 70 Olds Rocket 350. That one worked well too, I think I took it off and stored it before I drove the car to the junk yard, a sad day.

I wasn't really joking about them.... o_O

Kenne-Bell for sure, V8's and V6's. :)

Man, Edelbrock should be number 1!

People that aren't into cars now about Edelbrock stuff.

What about Holley? Like Holley carbs? What's his first name? lol!

dang forgot about Heinz Prechter founder of ASC McLaren and John Hennessey

To me, as a kid and through my early 20's, the JC Whitney catalogue was WAYYYYY better than that crappy Sears thing. Cool stuff in the day.

Mr. Gasket Company.

Lol, J.C. Whitney. I remember all their parts and how this one would increase mileage 5%, this one 10%, etc%. Thought if I added all of them I'd just have to stop to drain gas out of the tank.

Mr Gasket! Good call! The speed shops around here all had MrG packages covered in dust from sitting on the shelf forever!

Lol!

They made great shifters also, had one of their straight lines that work awesome. Really no faster than the regular 4 speed one but looked impressive. Remember they also bought a lot of big name companies to add to their own. Sad, real speed shops are mostly gone around here.
