6 piston brakes

I'm looking a different front brake options. I've read in the corvette forums that stoptech is the best brakes on the market. Is anyone running stoptech's? I've also been looking at Brembo's and wildwood's, I'm not considering Baer brakes since this is what I'm ripping out of my car since they aren't street friendly. What would you guys recommend for aftermarket brakes?

Whats wrong with Baer to not make them street friendly. I was just really interested in Baer’s for future upgrade.

I have the 12.19" Wilwoods with 4 pistons but you can get 6 pistons as well. You can also get bigger rotor kits as well. Im very happy with my Wilwoods!

awesome thanks guys. The baer's are loud, I mean really loud, even with different pads. I've tried 4 or 5 sets of pads, talked to the baer reps, changed/adjusted every component to the brake system twice. I've been to 4 different shops and all of the shops have thrown their hands up. I've heard of countless stories about how these brakes are notorious for being loud. The shop I take my car to is in the middle of ripping these brakes out of someone else's car.

Ok thanks Jasper for the reply. Guess ill look at other options.

Looks very nice. What spindles did you use? Any custom work required?

I just installed these:
oY5GXPKjrrFSxAqQ1g4MP6zNV1hIJaIgeQ0h6qFzday97T4zC8F8d5LLkWrW31qRDhrDYoL0jvdM8yFgOumdldCM9BnypwvXRq4o2mCabj1MT9OktxN0BYZLtw7qNQAVy3UZIvJ5C1I

It's the 12.88" Superlite 6R kit: http://wilwood.com/BrakeKits/BrakeK...e=Buick&model=Regal+Grand+National&option=All

Haven't been able to beat on them very hard yet, but initial pedal feel and bite with Hawk HP+ pads is really good.

This 6 piston caliper is actually smaller in terms of piston area than the four piston Dynalite it replaced (you can see the old caliper hanging in the background). No noise yet, but these pads will probably scream at me once I've put a track day on them. One thing I did notice is the new calipers are considerably stiffer than the old one. The pad retention bolt also serves as a mid-caliper bridge brace and there's a lot more meat to the caliper than the old one. I could hear the old calipers flex when I stomped on the pedal.

Install was just about an hour per side, not including bleeding. But the machine work to the spindles had already been done.

These stop great. I had to do a panic stop not long after installing them. Someon pulled out in front of me while running 60. There is no way the stock brakes would have stopped the car. I wanted the 340 but they wouldn't clear the old Simmons and I am just not ready to give those up.

Very nice. You don't happen to live anywhere close to Illinois do you? I'd love to see the brakes in person.

Don’t know what to think, I have Baers all four corners. No noise at all.
