Thanks everyone! I'll contact Eric and get the parts on the way. Will report back once they're in.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll contact Turbotweak and test the MAF. I don't know if a bad one will set a code or not, but I don't currently have any showing. I had to clear a 13 code after replacing the O2 sensor. The MAF sits about 24" from the air inlet on the turbo due to the addition of a...

Thanks, Rich, I bookmarked the page and will read thru it ASAP. Good info! I don't mind learning about the car; however, I tend to do better when I see something rather than reading about it. An experienced mechanic could probably diagnose the problem(s) in a few minutes while I might spend...

I can check the ECU tomorrow - probably should have done it long before now but as mentioned, I'm not very familiar with this tech. My buddy had a poster he carted around with him that has a bit of info on it, but some critical specs missing. Not sure you can tell much from photos, but I'll...

All suggestions are welcome. I'm not opposed to driving or trailering it to a good shop if it's within reason. I'd like it to be as close as possible so I could interact with the staff but it's not a deal breaker if it's out of town. Thanks!

    Need a recommendation

Hello all, I live in the Kansas City area and would appreciate a recommendation for a local Buick GN tuner/shop. I acquired an 87 GN a few months ago from an old friend who is in poor health. I know very little about the car but have been trying to learn more online. It gets poor mileage, has...

LH dash wiring 13 cavity connector

If that's the case, then my controller is definitely AWOL. The trunk sticker lists the UA6 RPO code so it would have been equipped with the a-t feature. Thanks again for the info!

LH dash wiring 13 cavity connector

Thanks! I did some additional research and from what I read on the forum, the a-t controller can be disconnected and or removed without affecting other systems. I don't see the box nearby, so it must be in a landfill somewhere. Appreciate the help.

LH dash wiring 13 cavity connector

I'm swapping out the stock 85mph gauge cluster on my 87 GN for a NVU setup. After removing the gauge and the backing panel it attaches to, I found a 13 cavity plug on the LH side of the main harness. (The harness that goes up, over and behind the cluster.) The four plugs I removed from LH...

    Connector help

I ran across the engine harness on one of my Google searches. I may invest in it as a winter project. Right now, I'm trying to repair what I can so we can attend some local cruises with the car. I ran across Casper's at the Buick Nationals in Bowling Green some years ago when we went with the...

    Connector help

Thanks very much for the info. When I took all the duct tape off the various wire bundles, this connector with the green wire attached dropped out. Somewhere along the line a PO cut most of the engine harness wires and reconnected them with butt splices. My guess is that the green wire was...

    Connector help

I was able to determine from the manual and one of the forum threads that the wire in question (gray with black connector) is for the fuel prime. What I've been unable to figure out is where the connector plugs in. I've searched the area extensively for any hint of where it goes, but without...

    Connector help

Hello, I recently purchased a running/driving 1987 GN from an old friend in poor heatlh. The car has some modifications and much of the engine wiring harness has been spliced over the years. I'm in the process of replacing the auto parts store connectors with soldered or more reliable parts...
