    torque strap question

that sounds good. the regular ones are like $2 at sears hardware. maybe i'll just keep snapping them. just put a new one in before i blew the driveshaft/trans. new trans in now, lets see if i can break it again.

    torque strap question

on the topic of torque straps, has anyone had this problem: the torque strap gets hooked to an eyelet bolt used to secure the alternator to the bracket. i have broken this bolt 3 times now, snapping the eyelet part clean off of the rest of the bolt. is it possible i'm torque my strap too...

    10.5" Baby Pro Mod ?'s

i'm not sure how close anybody is going to be able to tell you the weight, but it sounds like you'll be in the 3000lbs range if you kept stock frame rails up front. tire size is going to depend on what you do with the engine. a friend has a TTA clone with a 252 twin turbo engine, runs low...

If the GNX/TTA's were the fastest production cars of the 80's, what car won the 90's?

the 'z06' of the 90's would be the zr-1 corvettes, with the LT-5 DOHC v8. easy low 12 sec cars, and i've heard rumors that a heads up comparison of a NEW 2002 z06, and a zr-1, the early 90's zr-1 is faster in a straight line.

    Buick Grand Nationals

my 86 gn is my daily, and as long as you don't go too far with modifying them, i think any turbo regal makes a great daily driver. only downside is that you MUST keep high octane gas in them (i only use 93). great gas milage, comforable, and fast. you simply CANNOT buy a new car that gives...

    10 Cylinder GN

an 82 GN DID NOT have a bulge in the hood, but all other years did, even the 78-81 sport coupes. it really doesn't look like a 10cyl in there, but does seem like it could be an 82 GN. so who's gonna buy this toilet?

    VHT wheelwell spray setup?

the problem with using VHT in a setup like that is that VHT trackbite is a coagulant (spl?). it will gum up, and pretty much clog everything you got. you are better off putting water in something like that, and just putting the bite on the ground.

    Buick vs Ford at ATCO

the last one i went to (fall of 01), it was mostly GN vs mustang, but i think rules stipulate any buick and any ford. i may be there, but if i am, its on radials at 14psi of boost, no need to push the car for bracket racing.

picked up my new GN yesterday...it looked great...but now look at it :( pics inside..

firebird350, i've got an 86 gn, and live in levittown, right outside of NE philly, near the blvd. i'd love to go fishing sometime, nothing cooler than a pair of GNs layin it down.

    400lb.-ft. from a 3.8 EFI turbo?

UNGN, actually, the l98 is only two generations away. LT1 then LS1. an lt4 is just a variation on the LT1. you can technically 'bolt on' components from an lt4 to an lt1 and make it an lt4. is it possible you're thinking of the DOHC lt5 from the zr1 corvette?? if so, remember that was a...

Little plastic inserts for sun visor

what about dog-eared sunvisors?? i have a t-top car, but my visors are from a hardtop, and the corners are broken from being pushed against the headliner. again, I want to keep my FACTORY sticker, which means i need to reuse the fabric. not a problem, fabric is in good condition, but how do i...

    TR's too popular??

locally, in my town, there are like 3 gns that i know of, and 2 ttas. one gn is owned by a guy with a 10 sec notchback stang, the gn is pretty stock, one is owned by a kid like 20-21, and another is a toilet (some guy with dreads). only had a chance to race one, and i smoked it.
