    Harland sharp ratio?

I’m putting an engine back together and was setting the preload on the lifters. I have Harland sharp rockers and I found a couple of the adjusters difficult to turn, so I backed them out and found the adjusting screw has broken on a couple of the arms. I see on Harland sharp’s website that I can...

Excited to be getting a new intercooler from RJC

The 100 HP was from Jason. It surprised me as well when he told me that on the phone.

Different valve body on my 200r4

I was mistaken, I have a turbotweak 6.1 wideband chip. I’ll call Eric and see if this chip will do the switch to 3-4 automatically. Thanks

Excited to be getting a new intercooler from RJC

Oh yeah! I forgot the heads. They are champion iron heads just put on last month. Also has champion ported intake manifold. I have 60 lb injectiors, walbro fuel pump and accufab regulator.

Excited to be getting a new intercooler from RJC

You can see most of my upgrades in my signature. Anyway, when I ordered the new intercooler from Jason, I let him know what mods I have done and even with all my upgrades, I am still running a stock intercooler with a duttweiller neck. Well Jason told me to expect an increase of 70-100 HP just...

Different valve body on my 200r4

I knew that if I ground both circuits the flags would turn off, but I did not know the extender chip would switch from 1-2 to 3-4 automatically at a certain speed. That is good to know as I was afraid to ground the circuits and risk having to much timing in 3-4 at WOT.

Different valve body on my 200r4

I have a transmission built by art carr that I got from them 18 years ago. It has held up really well, still shifts great, have done fluid and filter changes more often than I need. Anyway, last year I put a powerlogger onto my ECM and started tuning, but noticed that the logger is showing 3rd...

    Installing new TR6 module question

Yes, I have the module and the coil grounded. The eyelet from the coil pack is grounded as well.

    Installing new TR6 module question

I now have gotten the engine to start, but it feels like the wires are in the wrong order. It definitely has a misfire with the new TR6. I installed the wires according to the numbers on the coil pack. I double checked all of them and all is good. Has anyone had to ignore the numbers on the coil...

    Installing new TR6 module question

Very nice setup. I have a quick question though. There are two longer wires coming off the TR6 harness. I know that the orange wire is for the two step trigger, but what is the longer black wire for? It does not say in the directions. I'm sure some others know. Thanks Matt

    New problem

well, now I just had to change things. I just installed the GN1 4 inch mafless pipe because I really like how the air filter is out of the way of the AC lines. I also moved the LS1 maf to the up pipe. Where I had great BLM's before, I now have low BLM's (115) so now because the maf is...

Anybody up for group reservation for the gm heritage center?

I was thinking during the Woodward dream cruise week leading up to Saturday event. I know that we have a group that meets on Woodward across from the moose preserve. I was looking and saw that they need a minimum of 30 people to reserve a visit to the GM Heritage center and it's only 10 dollars...

    Head gaskets again?? Maybe not.

That is really something. Any cracks in the piston or bad rings should temporarily seal with a wet compression test and bring the compression way up if the issue is down low. A crack in the cylinder would send combustion into the cooling system, not the crankcase. In my experience, a bad valve...

    Head gaskets again?? Maybe not.

That is an indication that the problem is up high. Most likely head gasket failure.

    Head gaskets again?? Maybe not.

Perform a wet compression test. If the problem is in the rings or piston, you will have the compression readings skyrocket up. If the problem is the head gasket the readings will stay low.
