    Cut knock sensor wire.

All of you saying "solder", just about every manufacturer recommends a butt connector instead of solder. Solder is actually worse in a hot, high vibration environment. Even the official Audi/VW wire repair kit (which is used on everything from Golfs to R8s) is all butt connectors. Solder...

    Astroroof 87 WE4 Issues

Wow! Mine has never closed that fast. It's always been a slow crawl. I should hook up a hotwire to the motor.

    knock knock.....who's there?

Can you inspect your flexplate? My '93 Dakota had a "knock" at light throttle, turned out to be a cracked flexplate.

    Where to find short block

IIRC, all 1986/1987 naturally aspirated Buick 3.8l motors are 109 blocks like what came in the T-types. Oldsmobile, Buick, whatever came stock with a Buick 3.8 in '86/'87. Check the casting number if you can find it, if it ends in 109, you're golden. The NA blocks don't have the oil drain hole...

    Factory service manuals

Is no problem. I got that off of this board years ago, and I kept it up on mediafire because I knew it would always be hard to find. It's also linked in one of the first posts at reddit.com/r/BuickGN. Unless you meant the other person, then disregard.

    Brake issue

http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/brakes/PwrMstr.html Try following this and report back. Step 4 is probably what you want. The pressure switch would cause the boost motor to never shut off because it can permanently read low. You might as well just replace it, it's going to go bad eventually...
