This in a very interesting question. I’ve met a few original owners over the years and only recall one guy that paid real close to sticker. He paid 30k sold it in 95 for 30k. Oops! He’s a Mopar collector that bought a Buick. I remember people paying quite a premium when new. KID

I agree with the other comments. You can find a running project 86-87 GN for that. If the 85 was clean it would be a fun driver. Most people won’t know that it’s not the “cool” version. KID

I feel for the other members of the team She is unbelievably horrible! It would be great to get a ringer (MMA fighter) on one of the opposing teams to put her in her place. Imagine if she were a guy. He's be laid out in the first minute. I'm digging the racing though. KID

I bought the nicest example I could afford. It's an 87. I wouldn't have thought twice if it had turned out to be an 86.These are the only cars I can think of where the lower production numbers don't equate to more value. I do prefer the black grill. KID

Found a couple of threads dealing with the brakes. I think I'll go with the vacuum brake conversion. Is there a kit readily available for our cars? KID

A lot of GNs were raced when they were new. Mods are very acceptable, but original equipment will pull a bit of a premium. Just like the first gen muscle cars. The big difference with GNs, 5.0s, and other second gen muscle is that many were purchased as second vehicles and subsequently not all...
