YES.. as I found out the hard way! 'Experience is KEY... .. especially when changing/upgrading 'internal parts ..that effect balance/oil flow! You need two skill people with turbo v6 experience; An engine builder and .. an engine balancer... plus get references from their customers...

Yes U are right..want a quality builder .. with a 'proven product.. NOT a loser who works out of his house or his 'Ma and Pops garage! been there done that!
One that can rebuild a 'stock '87 GN 3.8 V6 engine with few mods, and is capable of 'balancing.. the rotating assembly.. PLEASE .. provide me with someone who has PROVEN experience with the turbo 3.8 v6 engines.. and is fair and honest..

Was balanced 36.6%; with original; flywheel-flexplate , h-balancer , rods , used crank (not original to car), and new TRW pistons..... Have had engine pulled twice and balanced by two shops... Still have vibration.. both shops blame each other... like two old women...
What is going on?? Engine required different crank and new TRW pistons...Engine was then balanced. so they say and otherwise it was a simple rebuild..
But now engine has vibration at 2100-2220 rpms........Had t-converted and drive belt disconnected...and vibration is still there...>>>>not...

New to good: 2-trans coolers($20ea), 1-radiator($85), 1- crank na ($225)(10m-10r w/polish)
Good: D5 torque converter ($50) 65K miles
Good to fair: stock Turbo ($115) no smoke some end play
Require rebuild: 1-turbo($75), 1- 2004r ($100) trans ('ck'monte SS)
Lets do this again..last guy .. claimed to be a GM tech who sent me a nonturbo crank that was old (78) and non compatable with a turbo engine.. I will reveal his name ..after one week..if he doesn't make the deal right..
Anyway I need a turbo crank that is either std or .010r/.010m in spec...
