So I'm refreshing this motor, I've heard it had some work done to it. It has forged Pistons arp bolts. It had a small lunati cam. Gonna put a new cam in it. It's supposed to have a bigger turbo but I don't know what size, can you tell without taking it apart?
im glad i found this thread, was just fixing to get the BMR springs. I noticed the springs at BMR are for all g body, according to moog the front are mostly used in v6, some 305s, so they're probably a smaller load spring.
looks like a new cover, its got Timing chain cover on it, so im sure its Chinese. yea i put a edge from a square across the cover, you could still spin the idle gear, i got a .005 feeler gauge to fit smooth.
ok im checking the clearance on these gears on this car I got that has low oil pressure. its got a aftermarket timing cover on it, i laid a straight edge across the gears and theyre .005 in the hole, the gasket i pulled off is .006 used. isnt that to much clearance?
Just got this 87 GN, I'm redoing the turbo oil line, previous owner teed the oil pressure gauge into it. I'm changing over to a remote oil filter, what size hose comes with the kits you buy?
