Power master to vacuum conversion question.

I was able to finally finish this up last month. The vacuum block needed a 15/32" hose and the brake booster needed an 11/32"' hose. The 11/32" hose fits inside the 15/32" hose, so I cut a small piece off put it over the brake booster and then slide the 15/32" hose over and clamped it...

Auto Insurance for our collector cars

Just got back, Looks like a good discussion on collector car insurance. I decided to go with American Collectors for now. I'm paying just under $400.00 a year with a limit of 2500 miles that I chose. I have the option of paying storage when I put the car away for winter which will drop the...

Auto Insurance for our collector cars

Hi Everyone, I'm looking around for car insurance for my GN and have it narrowed down to Hagerty and American Collectors Insurance. Hagerty is a few hundred more per year compared to American Collectors. Does anyone have first hand with these and how their claims were handled? Thanks!

Power master to vacuum conversion question.

Got the booster and master cylinder installed. From previous post and pictures, I notice a bit of install differences. I had to drop a harness connector and leave it hang. Had to pull a bit to get the speedometer cable hooked back up. It’s a bit taught. The ground on the firewall from the...

Power master to vacuum conversion question.

If you look on the first page of this thread you will see a link to ebay. Earl Brown. He sometimes has them. Was going to buy one but someone beat me to it. I ended up purchasing my own booster, and master cylinder through advance auto parts. Found a NOS vacuum filter on ebay. and waiting...

Power master to vacuum conversion question.

Thanks. I forgot the light was hooked to the proportioning valve. One last quick question. Why hook the vacuum to the vacuum lines that see boost? Why not plumb it to the intake before the turbo or use the elbow that hooks into the passenger side valve cover breather that most of us block...

In either conversion system; how does the on dash brake light work? There must be something you need to plug into the system?

Power master to vacuum conversion question.

:( Maybe I should go the hydro boost route instead. Does the hydro boost cost more money? I know it works with the power steering system. I wonder what happens when the engine stalls. Do you still have some normal function braking ability like the vacuum system? Thanks.

Power master to vacuum conversion question.

Hi, I've decided that my power master brake system is getting too expensive and dangerous. I want to convert it to the vacuum system. I see Gbodyparts and Kirban sells the kits. Kirban's is much more expensive. Is it better? Anyone else these sells these kits? Thanks.

    Cruise Control not working

Worked some more on the cruise control tonight. Checked the vacuum lines. They are deteriorating have 36 yrs for sure. I don't have anything for vacuum and used an old hand ball pump to check the lines. Pulled the small line from the check valve to the cruise control servo and found where...
