Who's ready for some 3800 power?!

I can't speak for Brian's setup, but for mine I'm using a Ford pulley. I don't know for sure about balance because I did forged rods and pistons and had them balance the engine with my adapter in the balancer, it was balanced to 7,000rpm and it doesn't seem like they had to do much to the crank...

Hey xdannox, I just logged on now, I don't come back here much. Do you still have questions?

Who's ready for some 3800 power?!

Mine is together and running, 3800/4L80E. I have my AMP EFI (Megasquirt) MS3-PRO plug and play on it and Borg Warner EFR 9180 turbo. I made a quick patch harness to getting up and running and drove it a little bit to make sure everything worked well and now I'm making the final harness with the...

    Going Megasquirt

Yes everything works on a stock GN engine. I'm actually using the MS3-Pro module as the core of my new plug and play ECU for GNs.

    The Official MS3/X Build Thread!

Also on an unrelated note I did an MS3/x with LS1 coils on my buddies 5.0 mustang swap in his wheeling rig. A little 67MM turbo and NV4500 trans that baby lights up fast! Not a whole lot of power, maybe 450-500WHP but its sure enough to get into trouble on the trail with! lol ,Dan

    The Official MS3/X Build Thread!

You can adjust how fast or slow you want it to make changes (How many hit counts). You can also set the exhaust flow delay time to make sure it's reading the right exhaust when it's in transitional periods of time or say you have the sensor a long way away from the engine. If you need any help...

Anyone running a Holley dominator efi?

Cal, the Megasquirt guys at DIY autotune sell a nice breakout board which would work perfect for the Holley EFI plug and play adapter. I have used it for several previous megasquirt 3 installs on turbo buicks. https://www.diyautotune.com/product/diybob-breakout-adapter-delphi-56-pin/ ,Dan

Who's ready for some 3800 power?!

I have been using the MS3/X and MS3-Pro systems, they are hands down the best system you can get for the money. It is the same system I have for my 3800/4L80E. FAST and BS3 are pretty old school and I would not recommend them with better new options out there. We have the Holley Dominator on...

Who's ready for some 3800 power?!

I believe all Brian and My pictures are already on here. Just go through the thread and you will find them. I don't believe he wanted to share his spacer/pulley info but I have mine posted on here already, I put the Miezer electric pump on mine to simplify the setup a bit.

MS3-Pro! The next great thing in Turbo Buicks?

Using only the 24 tooth wheel and removing one tooth for quick sync and using the cam signal. I will be running coil on plug which has several benefits, ignition power, 2-step, anti lag, and spark cut rev limiter. ,Dan

MS3-Pro! The next great thing in Turbo Buicks?

It can, the ECU is pinned out for CAN BUS connections. DIYautotune.com and EFI source both sell plug and play microsquirt controller/harness systems for $450 that can be bought for 4L80E or 4L60E which is how I'm going to control my trans. I have run the EFI source system on a couple cars now...

Who's ready for some 3800 power?!

Great to hear its up and rocking still! I'm interested in hearing what your power/boost numbers end up being. I don't recall is this a E85 car? Did you brick the ECU or what caused it to die? I built a plug and play MS3-Pro powered controller for the GNs a while back I plan to use on my car...

Who's ready for some 3800 power?!

My frame was messed up (bent and a couple rusted body mounts), and these chassis are terrible from the factory. I m building the car to handle and drive better for autox and other events. I wanted it to also look better and be powdercoated. I shaved all the holes on the front frame stubs as well...

Who's ready for some 3800 power?!

Here are some of the engine as it sits now, water neck is on the factory side so its the full size and clears the tensioner by a ways then I welded an AN fitting on the other side to run AN heater hoses. But the belt is on and everything seems to fit very nice, the hardware in the crank pulley...
