    4.1 Block Going Rate

Pictures received, definitely interested. If you find the center two caps then cool but otherwise no big deal. I'll respond on the PM to work out the details of snagging it.

    4.1 Block Going Rate

That's a deal I can get in on, let me know about the caps and we'll figure out when I can get down to Houston to meet up. If I still lived in C-Springs I'd be interested in that one but Houston is quite a bit closer to Central Texas.

    4.1 Block Going Rate

I'm only needing to make 320-350hp and I'd sleeve it down to 3.800 and running a 2.66in stroke odd-fire crank (Land Speed Car). The only thing a Stage block buys me is potentially more bottom end stability at rpm as I am required to run heads with the stock head bolt numbers and port order to...

    Engine Durability: Power or RPM

No rule though with 3 or 5mi to run the number weight tends not to be a concern and to some level you need the weight to keep from being traction limited at the top end as aero mods are strictly prohibited. That being said, I've never run on the Salt so this is just a product of reading up on...

    Engine Durability: Power or RPM

https://turbobuick.com/threads/rover-3-5-3-9-intermediate-timing-cover.399839/ Here's the work I did years ago on what would need to be fabricated to get the belt drive to work.

    Engine Durability: Power or RPM

My apologies for the delay in a response. Goals are to get a stock bodied 1981 Regal up to 199mph as the safety rules change at 200mph so the goal is to keep out of that safey zone till I can afford the upgrades. I'd be racing in the Classic Production Supercharged F-motor class which also...

    Engine Durability: Power or RPM

All good points, LSR tends to be long enough to tax an engine but short enough you can run a total loss style cooling system with a heat sink in the trunk. You have the primary pressurized loop that goes through the engine but instead of air to air in the nose most folks mount an unpressurized...

    Engine Durability: Power or RPM

Howdy, Being on the road away from the garage means back-burner projects kinda float to the top of the whole thought experiment heap... I've stockpiled a stash of parts for a 3.0L destroker (3.800 bore, 2.660 stroke) built on a stock block for Bonneville. Land Speed Racing (LSR) means...

    4.1 Block Going Rate

Howdy, Been out of acquiring parts for the Turbo6 for a while but looking for a block for a new project. How much does a bare (well main caps included) 4.1 block that would clean up at 4.00in go for these days? As nice as an off center Stage block would be, I think this project can make do...

WTB Al or SS Water Neck

That's exactly what I was looking for. I'll PM you for details.

WTB Al or SS Water Neck

Howdy, Anyone have an aftermarket Al or SS water neck they're looking to part with? I cut mine down for an AN upper hose but don't want to modify the new radiator for the same so going back to rubber and need a new water neck but don't need another thermostat like all of the new ones seem to...

    MAF to TB Plumbing

Howdy, Been a while since I posted but still messing with my ‘64 Riviera hybrid. I’ve finally reached the point of getting a real FMIC vs. a scooped stock unit so new plumbing. The FMIC has 3in outlets, the MAF takes 3.75in hose (85mm LQ4 style), and of course the stock TB takes 2.5in hose...

    DIY Intake Porting

Thanks for the picture. Much appreciated. Would you happen to have the plenum side as well? Thanks

    DIY Intake Porting

I hesitate to call it knife edging but that's that the extreme end of opening up the plenum side of the runners. I'll be in there anyway for the EGR tower so thought I'd ask.

    DIY Intake Porting

Good to know on the 1200's Was not looking forward to resolving the valley pan side of it. I'll take a look at the scribe lines and see how much is there and definitely going to mill out the EGR tower since it's not active anyway. Thoughts on opening up the plenum side?
