Just installed a Standard Motor Products PR4 fuel pressure regulator and it improved the pressure (vacuum line off) to 43PSI.
This is exactly what the chip calls for from Eric. I guess this case is closed!
Correct me if I'm wrong, doesn't the fuel pressure regulator for the turbo trans am put out 44 psi? Then I can retain that stock looking fuel pressure regulator. I'm not looking to race the car, I just need to get my BLM's down within reason.
nstalled new MAF pipe and new TT 5.7 chip. Engine runs much better now but BLM's still 140. Checked fuel pressure with engine warmed up
idling at 29 psi with vacuum line on and 37 psi with vacuum line off. But, I do not have the fuel pump hot wire kit------on order from Caspers

Finally an update on the high BLM's I am experiencing! Replaced all the underhood vacuum lines except the hard lines, pvc line, and the EGR valve lines. All these lines looked good and did not affect the BLM's when each were bypassed to see if they were bad. Also unhooked and plugged FPR line...

Ok guys, finally got back to the Buick and it's dieing out problem. Checked out most of the vacuum lines and they definately need to be replaced!
Will order stuf to fix that. Although while idling in closed loop, I sprayed most all the vacuum lines with a heavy mist of water thinking that it...
