Looking for help to start this engine build

Kinda long request but bare with me.
I’m helping a friend/neighbor with a 1937 Chevy Deluxe that has my GN motor and transmission in it. Long story but we tried three different S-10 motors that were junk so I gave him my old one. I just want to start the engine in the car to give him some hope because he hasn’t worked on this car since both his brothers who were supposed to help him build this car, died on the same day.

I have friend who is going to tell me how to start it over the phone, probably over the phone. I think I have everything, full GN engine harness, gas tank, pump, fuel lines, entire engine and transmission, computer and chip, MAF translator inner cooler battery, fuel.

Thanks for staying with me so far but what do I need before my friend calls me to start this?( No steering wheel
Like do I need switches? Connectors? Other like where does the wire from the fuel pump go? I don’t want to seem too dumb when my buddy calls. I’ll just show my hand to you guys. 😆
Thanks!

The fuel pump wire goes into the C100 bulkhead connector and from there runs inside the car to the rear where it pops through the trunk floor to the fuel tank. On my station wagon I snipped the wire at C100 and routed it along with a racetronix Hotwire kit to trigger the racetronix relay at the rear of the car.

At C100 There were 4 circuits not supported By my wagon fuse box. Fuel pump, relays, Ecm solenoid, and ccci. For these circuits I added a fuse box under the hood and powered that box using the old pink wire for the wagons original HEI.

Good information, thank you. Just to start the car, should I put a fuse on the 4 wires leading to C100 not supported by the fuse box, before or after I connect it to the C100? Might put a switch on the fuel pump wire and the ECM in case I do something dumb?
Thanks,

I got nothing…. But a Chevy deluxe with a gn driveline is about the coolest thing I’ve ever heard of

I agree! Back story, my friend was to build this car with his Brothers. They died on the same day last year and he hasn’t worked on it since. Here I am trying to get it started to give him some hope. Wish me luck!!

If he somehow doesn’t want it at some point in time…. Have him contact me.. I’d love to finish it up.

Your car is way different than my wagon. You're gonna need a whole different strategy for populating the necessary fuses and re-engineering the stuff at C100. My wagon is a G-body just a few years older than 87, so it's practically plug-n-play with just a few missing circuits.

You might want this:

Ya! I have my work cur out for me. I have the original full GN engine harness and a lot of patience so we will see!

I’m stuck here. (Might re-post if needed) Where do the key switch wires connect?
Thanks,

Just like it says, to the key switch. I imagine any ignition key switch with an accessory positon and a cranking position would work. If you wanted to use a switch and a button that would work too. An on/off switch to turn the power on, and a button switch to run the starter.

I’ll find one and see if I can match it up. Lot mor steps than I thought!
Thanks!
